Well my car is a 2002 wrx and i noticed that my boost gage was spiking a little bit, then i recently put a standard boostcontroller on and now it spikes a little harder than before but when it gets up to boost it will go past .1mpa a little bit then go back down to where its expose to be and stay there. Whats the problem?

 

what map are you running? the stock boost map and others like cobbs are designed to max around 5k or so and then taper off a bit to redline.
