Nice, what mods do you have? All I have right now is kn drop in filter, and hks carbon ti catback. The next thing I want to change is my torque converter but it is kind of pricey.

it also might be a good idea getting a transmission cooler and synthetic ATF if you are doing a lot of brake torqueing. It will help keep it cooler.
An upgraded TC from protorque is a good idea too because it'll help get your stall speed higher. This will lead to better and faster launches.
These things combined will assist in lowering heating issues in brake torqueing, which leads to safer launches. Although, launches are always gonna be stressful to your car.

Thanks for all the help. I am in the market for an upgraded tc right now from MPJ. How do you get your car up to 3600? My car will only go to about 2500 rpms while my foot is on the brake.

ok....first of all stop doing this to ur stock TC. It wont last much longer and second you should consider switching to synthetic fluid and a tranny cooler will be very helpful. And the best way to break launch is to put ur car in N, rev it couple of times and u'll notice the brakes will go in deeper...this is called vaccum lock. NO need to use the hand brake and etc. now with ur car back in D (use D, no need to shift) thats y the car is AUTO....with ur stock TC u'll get around 2000~2700, but with the modified TC u'll easily get 3000~4000 rpm launches....and boy is it fun....and now w/o brake torquing the a/t wrx is par with m/t wrx.....just step on it and ur gone.....no more lags or bogs.....

to get ur TC modified i highly recommend Protorque.com i got mine done there...i think they are one of the best companies to get it done.....

Yeah, I am getting my done through MPJ but they send it to protorque i think.
c00lbeans: i think what he means is that once i upgrade my tc it will get rid of the lag without brake torquing so i will be pretty much equal with the m/t.
