XT 4EAT motor swap into a 4EAT WRX?

Any auto guys thought about that? XT is basically a slightly tuned down version of the STi's block w/ auto tranny option. Same EJ257 w/ AVCS I think... I think it is very doable and I'm thinking about doing that and get the XT ECU... in the far, far future tho...

What's included in the long block? I'm kinda confused w/ Short block, etc. hum... stand alone ecu... never thought of that... still need a 4WD dyno and a tuner... which we don't have on the island...

true dat but you could always do a road tune and there are people here to do that long block would be heads and everything and shortbkock is just the block with internals no heads

Chucky...

the US STI has the same block as the FXT anyway you should be able to swap it no problem. The only real difference is that you have a smaller TMI and not as aggressive tuning of the factory ECU...

If you do put in a US "STI" block into your you'll really love the TC... SAPOSAT had it in his car with the ultimate racing Stage 5 kit and he ran 12.1 no NOS on the 1/4 mile.

Oh... also regarding the TC/VB/Cooler... very soon dude very soon. They are shipping it out today and I should have the items by early next week. and I have to set up the schedule and we should be able to get this thing started very soon.

Yeah, 2.5 block is definitely in teh future (very future) plans.

Great to hear the update Jon. This will keep my itchy trigger finger from ordering anymore parts for now. Let me know.

There's no point in replacing one 4EAT with another. The WRX one is plenty strong.

What about the Sport Shifter that comes in Legacy GTs? Would you be able to use one of those with a 6-speed STi engine?

Just curious.
