Launching a WRX, specifically an 03
yea so i searched and came up with nothing helpful. i just wanna know the proper way to do a good AWD launch. i've seen so many done perfectly but i've never tried nor mastered it. note, i'm still breaking in my car so i'll have to wait another 500 miles. and i read about this "flow limit valve" or so i heard it called, that limits the max RPM of clutch engagement. i hope this does not affect the launch because as i assume i'll have to be pretty up there in the RPM's to get a good launch. so anyone wanna shed light on launching??

I just got an 03 still doing my break in and read the article as well...
I'll tell you one thing from experience you can't do it from 3K hahaha
4.5K to 5K is what I've heard around here, and then I suppose you could just drop the clutch, but a little smoother release would still give you a good jump.

yea i guess dropping the clutch would give you the best launch / 60 ft but then again, who wants to pay around $2000 to replace their tranny. not me! i'll stick with feather-dropping... you guys know the mix.
