STi vs. EVO 8 (Which car should I buy used?)

I was also choosing between an evo 8 and an STi.. I wanted the STi more b/c at the time I thought it would be faster with the 2.5 liter and all (didn't know about the smaller than 16g vf39). I only got an STi b/c I found a great deal at an evo 8 price, and it was a year older.. 04 STi>03 Evo
