never compared it to the audi (which is german) i was comparing it to the sti and evo. and what does it matter its only won in japan its a japanese super car....you could argue the same about mustangs or corvettes. i like the new 05 body style because i am partial to the older mustangs(pre 70) but as for everything in between i dont like it same thing with the vettes both which are american muscle cars. have they won all over the world most likely not. but they are american muscle skyline is japanese muscle. you cant compare the sti and evo (rally) to a car that isnt even in the rally if im not mistaken they arent even in the same jgtc class( someone correct me if im wrong. which im sure will happen). and last but not least the steath is a DODGE and its a ugly,heavy turd just like the 3000gt.

someone is all up audis a$$ arent they. ok so they won lemans they can drive 24hrs straight and win wow mazda also had a 4rotor setup win that race which got banned why no mention of that? ok lets get down to it the car is over priced here in the states no doubt on that and it is over rated but it is a very good very tunable very powerful car you cant deny that. regardless if you think its ugly or if it hasnt won a 24 hour race(1/4 mile doesnt take that long) its a good car IMO take it or leave it

When this whole thing started no one was talking about race cars, now you're talking about 24 hrs of Le Mans, whoah there buddy. It all started when someone said they think that skylines are ugly and that he would rather have a supra or a "Mitsu stealth", the supra part is fine, but come on a "Dodge stealth" over a SKYLINE, are you nuts!!!
I would never own anything dodge unless it was over 30 yrs old and had a hemi in it.
Ok, on looks the skyline isn't the sexiest car out there, but I like it(to each his own). The supra is uglier to me than a skyline, big fat ***, long skinny nose, and only looks good with a clean body kit, but.....I love that car too.
You think parts are expensive for skyline? How about supras, roughly $10k for a HKS twin turbo setup. S4's? incredibly expensive for the limited amount of hp you can extract from those motors, at least in supra or skyline you can smash out 1000hp, I've never seen any S4's with that amount of hp.
So, in the long run, I hear what you're saying, it's not the best looking car, but what lies beneath that big bulky exterior is what makes those cars f**king sick!!! So don't be a hater, no one said you had to like the looks of a car to truly appreciate it. If I were you, I'd watch out for the next skyline you see on the road, you might just get smashed on!!!

I have seen a black one on the street in the Gardena Ca. area. It looked and sounded stock. I was in my truck "smash" away. but if it were stock he would know better than to tangle with my Sti. Stock to Stock that Skyline gets rolled up. BTW I only used the Audi as an example of a real twin turbo supercar because it is just that. As far as the Mazda goes I like them alot. In '91 when it did win @ DU MANS, late in the race attrition took out the front runners and thus made Mazda the first and only Japanese car maker to ever win the greatest road race, but that's racing, good win. The rule change that you are speaking of actually began in the '91 race which helped Mazda get the win otherwise Jaguar would have won instead of finishing 2nd 3rd & 4th. Mazda had basically the same car in '92. Yea I hear you guys Skyline 1000 hp. ok so what, after you get ripped for 80,000 to get it here and pay who knows how much to make 1000hp. you could have bought "Radical l" and have plenty of cash left over and alot more fun on the track. I won't mention the Audi. "say NO to drugs"

case and SubieGears are correct. The Skyline is wicked out of the box... Japan rates them conseritavly(sp??) at 280hp, I believe SCC got a hold of Motorex's R34 (I dont' remember what issue) and said it's got at least 325hp easy. It's capable of holding waaaaaaay more power than any Subie or Evo. If it was my choice and I had the money... give me an R33 (I just like the looks of that one more than the R34). I'm not doggin' any of the cars, but that "eyesore" Skyline you speak of would show you tail lights all day, every day.

I wouldn't pay 4x what a vehicle is worth and it still gets spanked by my Sti until I spend 6x what its worth. No thanks . BTW there has been more than 1 Skyline owner that dump that car for the Sti go figure." say NO to drugs"
