Why should I buy an STi over an EVO?

How do the stock to stock Evo 8 vs Evo X feel? I rode in my friend's a few weeks back, and I was left with a "that's it?" feeling.

Didn't try the Evo X, I was strictly looking for a used car. Stock evo versus stock STi, they were both pretty similar. Evo's control was a little better than the STi.

the community just pushes a suby way up there for me, plus it has one of the most distinct engine sound vs. all the other cars that sound identical with an exhaust.
