Another staple of mine that I share with a lot of people here is mixing thick canned soups with a starch, like pasta or rice. You can stretch out that $1.50 can of Campbell's Chunky Soup into a few meals that way and reduce on your sodium intake too (a whole serving of the soup alone has a ton of salt)! Another thing I love is Dinty Moore beef stew with rice. You buy those gigantic cans and microwave that for 5 min in a big bowl, then you can share it with 3-4 people with a pot of rice. I used to add curry powder to it sometimes. I live by a 99 Cents Only store too and a Dollar Tree, a ton of stupidly cheap frugal canned foods to buy.
