What is the ULTIMATE college/bacholer/budget food?
The requirements of said food:
1. Has to be CHEAP
2. Has to be fairly easy to make
3. Has to be REALLY CHEAP
With that being said, what are the best/ultimate college student foods? The kind of things that men would eat daily if they didn't have women cooking for them every day? (jk about that, lol).
I'll throw out the most obvious one that everyone is thinking about:
1. Top Ramen! Various flavors and cooked in various ways from soup to seasoned noodles, and when you're REALLY ghetto, eating the top ramen raw in it's dry/dehydrated form.
We've all done it, you can't deny it!
When you REALLY wanted to get gourmet you would add soy sauce, and a dab of tabasco for kick. When you got a Cup-o-noodle it was like a total upgrade from standard top raman...
2. Pasta + whatever you can scrounge up for topping. Pasta is cheap as hell and doesn't taste too bad and fills you up nicely while still giving you energy due to its carbs. It's good by itself or on the side with something else. Angel hair was always my fav due to how easy it was to cook it (well, how quick you could cook it). When you're desperate, salt is enough to make it a valid meal that doesn't taste too bad. I've even been so hungry and broke that I would eat pasta with ketchup that I got from McDonalds...
Can you top that?
Lets hear some stories about your experiences!

cup noodles is easiest, cause you already have a vessel for the food... and if you are really in a pinch you can use your pencils as chopsticks...

SPAM and corned beef in the microwave and some rice also works wonders when you need that "meat in a box" feeling
