We have not settled anything. He has not contacted me and still ignored all phone calls and text. Even told his co workers to not allow me to contact him when I called his place of work. Ill take this as a 1400 dollar lesson and give up as its more o f a burden on my shoulder to get the money then to just forget about it.

ah last i hear u had gotten in touch. i guess i am wrong. im in the same situation kinda. in terms of an individual owing me $1200 for damages inflicted to my house. but he aint gunna pay up and does eveything he can to not keep in touch. youre right, sometimes its better just to let it go and learn a few lessons. i am the same way. despite me having no problem taking this guy to court, its not worth the stress, time, head ache. im pissed as hell that im being repaid like this. but i now know what i need to do next time. again, i would never say just let it go adn to keep figting. but is hes going to those length ("hey boss, if anyone calls about me being a cheap *****, im not here"), all i would do is ignore him and if he tries to start normal convo at a meet or w.e give him the cold feet. cuz for the rest of your live u have that right. LOL> he COULD have avoided it the rigt way or at least worked out his probelm. hope all works out bro. im diggin ur front fenders btw and may consult with u when i start to build my STI engine

Don't take the 1,400 dollar lesson learned although that is a mature thing to do, I feel very strongly that he should not get away with this so easy. He needs to be taught a solid lesson on proper business etiquette and if he is not taught who knows who else he will rip off in the future. As a new member i'm not allowed to make any statements that matter but as for as principles go you should not let this slide so easily. You know where he lives, you have his information try to confront him about it. CaliSuby is being let off way to easy, $1400 is hard earned money....

Threads like this need not to be locked, or at least to remain publicly visible so members can view and see the backgrounds of some members. Others forums have a scammers review subforum just for this purpose. I find it very childish and negligent of others who wish for another's thread to be closed. Get out of here, if you don't like it do not read. Let others make use of the information.

Threads like this show the true colors of members, whether they are the involved parties or not! There has been a lot of stupid **** posted in this thread coming from the mouths/keyboard warriors of our fellow community. I don't like it when others make assumptions about the situation either. Just because both sides have post activity in the thread does not mean they have come to any agreement or progressed any further in settling this dispute. How many of you even know calisuby or hengman personally to have spoken to them to get real time updates? I thought so...... A third of this thread has been jumping the gun as in ( Oh I want this thread locked, since both members have posted in here publicly, that must mean they are on their way to resolving the matter.) No, stop jumping to non supported assumptions. Until THEY have publicly announced any further progress, then there is no progress at all.

Thank you to those who have had first hand experience on this matter and have chimed in with their personal statements.

And for the record, I believe CaliSuby is his second screen name..........

Well now that some of his secrets are out. Reputation down the drain. He's got nothing to lose now. In other words, why would he waste paying $1400 that he owes when he's in bad vibes with everybody here.

600HP SRT-4,
Very true, but I still don't think hengman should let it go so easily. As state above $1400 is a lot. Call me cheap or whatever you want but to be honest $1400 goes a long way. Especially when time was involved as well, it's just not fair that honest people get ripped off and the perpetrator gets to run free not even with a slap on his wrist. Also now he is trying to flip the motor and get some cash back from it, he has ***** to post it up and expect everyone to believe that it is his neighbors motor.

It's not even so much about the money as it is the principle. If it were me, and this ******* lied to my face and tried to **** with me, I'd definitely make the time to teach him a ****ing lesson.

Otherwise he'll think he can keep on doing it.
