Got my car back a few weeks later... Day three the car does not stay on and idle is bad.... I tell Anthony about it the following day since since it happened at midnight after work (too late to call him) .. He was aware of my towing situation.. He said it was too far of a drive to co e check it out at hat time.. I told him the car was at my work in Santa Cruz and couldn't be there too long.. After having the car there for 3 days my uncle offered to tow it for free to his work (dealership hooked up the free towing to the dealership in Monterey).. Uncle said it might be something simple so he would get his buddy from next door (Val Strough Subaru) to check it out when he got a chance..... It's been there since. ANTHONY knew this the entire time as I kept him informed.. Then after I towed the car to the dealership he offered to check it out..I cannot pay Anthony for a car that's not running. My plan was still to pay him off ...It's a messy situation that should have been fixed by us two.. This gets neither of us nothing..
This is why the thread should be locked...didn't a mod say that it'll be locked when both parties become involved?
The people who already think of calisuby as a "low life" aren't impacted by this thread, but get to throw shots at him...its not like he would try to go get someone else on this forum to build him an engine, so a warning of this nature isn't necessary

From a third party perspective i see this as maybe calisuby chose to go to hengman because he works on subaru's and it would have been cheaper then paying his uncle's dealership. Also I have mixed feelings about a car running at the time of pick up and it breaking down a bit afterwards because that happened to me with stevenscreek but then again stevenscreek is a piece of **** dealership.

One quick note for those with reading comprehension problems...his uncle doesn't work for the monterey subaru dealership...he works at a dealership NEXT to the subaru place...luis bought his car used not from a subie dealer

Hasn't CaliSuby said he's not going to pay xhengmanx a single cent for a motor that doesnt work? That may not be word for word, but I do remember reading a post of his stating something pretty close to that. And is he now saying he is going to pay him?
I don't know either member but ignoring xhengmanx's texts, calls, FB messages, any other way of contact and even taking him off his FB friends list does not look good at all for CaliSuby. It all points to trying to scam xhengmanx which has been stated. Also, has anyone else even confirmed CaliSuby's new motor is ****ed? Excuse me if it has been confirmed but so far I didn't see anything proving it is. I know he's mentioned wanting xhengmanx to check out the car/motor and that xhengmanx offered to, but did xhengmanx ever confirm the condition of the motor? Its easy to say "My motor is ****ed man Im not paying you a dime" just to save your *** $1400 and scam someone when its perfectly fine.

Gotcha, thanks slugrx
I just hope everything gets handled accordingly. I like to give people a chance to make right even if they've done wrong, which goes for both parties.
Perhaps CaliSuby should take it to a shop with experience with built engines to inspect it. Of course CaliSuby would be responsible for whatever fees for this (which he may not be too happy about). But atleast then an experienced shop can find out if it was built wrong, something from the past, abused or something else. If CaliSuby is found at fault, he pays xhengmanx the remaining balance. If xhengmanx is found at fault, CaliSuby is free and clear of remaining balance. Yes I'm sure there's the chance doing that still might not prove what caused it to go, and xhengmanx did provide the service CaliSuby wanted so he should get paid accordingly. But atleast that way whatever went wrong could be determined.

Well he did also say earlier:
Just pointing it out. I don't know either person, but something sounds a little off. I hope everything works out for both parties.

Lol you think I didn't try to resolve this off iclub? From a new member like you, I wouldn't expect you to know much. This was my last resort to get things sorted out. And I don't want to go-to his house or town as I don't know what lies in front of me nor do I want him saying that I'm trespassing and harassing him. Keep your .02 cents cause apparently you didnt read things clearly. Ill show you the way out of this thread and hope you don't make a fool of yourself on the way out.

Jesus. this has now shifted topics. from to "dude, where my dough" to "lets close this thread cus its pointless". calisuby, pay your money or go to court. Tony, keep fighting. I-Club, why try and make something like this disappear. i mean im sure a lot of you saw the thread where i sold an NRG harness for $55 when i paid $50. thats $5 and CAN be pushed under a run. but $1400?!? common. if it was your 1400, would you really just take your loss up the ssa and just walk away? my gut feeling is no. Unless you guys do free rebuilds, keep the thread open and resolve the situation.....LIKE MEN! had cali suby actuallu been responding to OP, then yes. this thread is completely pointless. but guess what, you can get a hold of him via phone, FB, text. what do you have left that you two have in common??......Well then? Again, $5 is one thing, $1400 is....well ill let you do the math.

Ah, i see that they are now in contact (OP and cali) other than here. so ya, close this damn thread. completely pointless. the point of this thread was to get calis attention. i think that has been acccomplished. keep it open if u want. but this deff is of no interest to me anymore. lol. if OP and Cali are reading. Hope everything worked out for the best guys!

I want this all to "go away" because this is not how "the first and original Subaru Enthusiast site" should be represented. Both partys are aware of whats going on, they are both present in the thread, and its going nowhere but being a **** talking match at this point.
Got it?
