I'd be all over this if Ellison manages to buy the Hornets and move them to SJ. Would be the biggest FU to Chris Cohan's buddy, Joe Lacob, and to a lesser extent, Chris Cohan himself. I'd probably guess that at the very minimum, half of the Warrior fans would jump ship and become Hornet fans.
Since I keep the Warriors so close to my heart. I can't possibly be a Hornets fan if they move to HP Pavilion. I'd watch a game or two, of course, but I can't root for them 100% as I would for the Warriors. Blah blah blah "imma true fan! derp derp!" I have to admit, Curry and Ellis is the most overrated back court on the defensive end. On paper, those 4-5 steals between the two looks pretty boss, but when you see them play man to man el matador defense, that's hardly the case. Warriors really need to work on improving those team defensive schemes rather than hope they improve on their one on one defense. Yeesh.

NBA is going to buy the Hornets for now. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has been selling some of his stock to raise some cash. Rumor has it he might buy the Hornets and try to move them to Seattle.

David Stern just announced the Hornets franchise value is roughly $300+ million

Just a bit of stats on Acie Law's current season: he's shooting 16% in FG this year. Just what we needed, another non-scorer *cough* charlie Bell *cough*

Oh and forgot to mention that Jeff Adrien gets cut because of this move. Really disappointing to see somebody working as hard as Adrien get cut like that. I liked his effort on the court. Played well despite being undersized.

Yea. It is a shame. I was hoping he'd be a hidden gem on the team too cuz it's sort of a trend in the NBA to have vertically challenged power forwards bangin' on the boards with 6'10"-7' bigs. Dude's got a 7'2" wingspan and he's a lean 243lbs, which allows him to play much bigger than he looks. Why can't we just cut Vlad Rad? That guy is freakin' useless and he's a black hole on offense. Vlad Rad makes Corey Maggette look like Chris Mullin when it comes to passing the ball at the small forward spot. I sincerely hope that Acie Law, even at age 25, is a late bloomer in the pros, but it's not look good so far for this highly touted player from Texas A&M. He was sick in college though, but with most players coming into the league, who wasn't? I still think we should have kept Jeff Adrien and sent Jeremy Lin to the D-League to get his swag back.

Warriors beat writer, Marcus Thompson just got news that Ekpe Udoh's been practicing and he could make his NBA debut tomorrow night against the Heat. He's blocking shots, dunking, and knocking down mid range jumpers already in practice. I saw him in the side lines a few nights ago clapping, so I guess that wrist is a-okay.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Warriors will get blown out tomorrow night by Miami They probably have enough people to stop Bosh, but have nobody to stop Wade or Lebron

For some reason, a friend of a friend had free lower level tickets for tonight's game. So I went because my friend asked me if I wanted to go since he knew I was a hardcore Warriors fan. I was gettin' ready to watch the first half and take a nap by half time if they're getting beat. I threw on my Warriors jacket and hat, then ran out the door. I didn't have much time to get ready cuz the game had already tipped off by the time I got the phone call. Oh man. That's the first time I saw a nationally televised game live! Lower level too! We were sitting at section 109. I was so hyped when I got in the arena, I started chanting "LET'S GO U-DOH!" on my way to my seat. I'm such a dork.

Anyway. Warriors went to the line a bit more than I've seen lately. David Lee's still favoring that elbow, obviously. I saw him take a jab to it and he was clutching his elbow before getting back on defense. However, he did mention the motion for his jump shot isn't right because of the elbow. Tonight it looked fine. Flatter than he did with a healthy elbow, but he found a way to compensate. Kudos to the big guy for being a trooper and adjusting. Reggie Williams was ice cold for the first half, but he got warmed up. Monta was just being Monta. Attacking the basket and even knocking down a couple Js. However, there's the bad. Miscues everywhere. One instance, Dorell Wright noticed Biedrins was under the basket with Carlos Arroyo next to him. He figured, just dump the pass off to him and exploit the match up right? Biedrins wasn't paying attention, so it got deflected out of bounds. *smh* There were a fair number of times that was the case. There were times when that extra pass did them no good at all. That Miami defense was just too much. At least I got to see Udoh. I just like rooting for him just for novelty's sake. I was in a good mood to just have these tickets given to me. This stuff almost never happens!

On the defensive end. They kept leaving Illgauskas wide open for that 15-17 foot jump shot that he can pretty much make while blind folded. As usual, stupid fouls. Then they just had a hard time stopping LeBron from getting Wade the ball and vice versa. They just kept cramming it down their throats and getting to the line whenever they wanted.

Yah things look way different than watching it on tv. Watching in person, it's much harder to keep track of what's going on, like whose playing bad or what the stats are. Game also seems much faster, probably due to the fact that on timeouts and breaks, there's always something going on down the court.

I also went to my first Warriors game during the preseason. My brother-in-law got some free tickets (free parking too) down in section 127, with seats right next to the area where the Warrior players come out. I didn't know what to expect. Got there 1.5 hours before tip off thinking it's gonna be pretty boring to wait till game time. Was wrong. Was probably the best part going early. Needless to say, I should've brought my SLR camera as well as a sharpie pen. Ellis and DWright were signing autographs and whatnot. I also said hello to Matt Steinmetz and saw Bob Fitzgerald walk by me.

All I managed to get from my camera phone lol. Was so disappointed I didn't bring my camera I didn't bother to snap pics of the other players with the crappy phone.
