For the longest time, I didn't think highly of Anderson Silva because I saw Chonan's flying heel hook the night it happened. But for the last couple years, I've had nothing but respect for Silva because he's grown so much as a fighter since his mediocre Pride days. It's not that he wouldn't tap to a heel hook like that nowadays, it's that he's good enough to not get caught in a flying leg scissors takedown now.

 

no match for Silva once again...Brazilians spank Americans and rest of the fighters this night...

 

White said winner of Sonnen and Stann get next shot at Silva..Should get interesting If GSP beats Diaz...wonder if that will promp the ufc to set up this fight..

 

Wow Okami vs Silva

Okami has no business being in there with Silva. Round 1, clinches for what seemed like forever and only threw one knee at Silva. 2nd round, Okami looked like a deer in headlights and didn't know what to do once Silva dropped his guard begging for Okami to hit him. Got dropped by a jab and fight's over after a little ground and pound lol.

I knew Okami was going to get slaughtered, but the way he lost was pathetic. Not as bad as the Griffin vs Silva fight, but it's up there.

 

sad....why even take a fight you know your gonna loose...weak!!

 

Silva is an animal. Sounds like he felt out the first round and came out with the hammer in 2. Standard silva. Who's next?

Yah after pretty much wiping everybody out in his class, I'd like to see Silva move up to light heavyweight, or just move up once to take on Jon Jones. That would be an interesting fight.

Nogueira looked good in his return after surgery, I was very happy to see him looking like the old Nogueira.
Okami was hugely disappointing. But he and Silva are technically 1-1 right now.

 

Haha sonnet gets a rematch if he gets passed Stann...Wich I'm pretty confident he will... It's the new style, wrestle down, dominate te grind and pound without allowing the bottom guy to cause damage ..(subs/hits)... I'm sure that Stann has a better stand up but not a good wrestler...
