I was about to leave heading up 50 to sac yesterday and it was a parking lot, I turned around to take 89 to 88 and got stopped at the Kirkwood gates. 6 car fender bender... 30 minutes later at the gates we then were on our way home, made record timing by leaving Heavenly at 3:30 pm and getting across the San Mateo bridge at 10:30 pm. Too many poor drivers in these conditions make it way too dangerous for everyone else. I got some good laughs with friends on the entire way home at least and the snow was great

i know you dont need the chains on your tires while driving if your vehicle is equipped with 4WD, AWD, snow tires. as to whether or not its the law to have them chillin in the car with you, i dont know.
