You know what's bad? I had to haggle them for a good 4 hours to get a $100 above invoice and the whole time i went through 4 different people even though i asked to deal with one. That's not even CLOSE to the worse part.

Basically before signing anything, i inspected the car knowing full well that these guys would try to rip me somehow. Car was in perfect condition and they said they would go take it out back to get the car detailed and cleaned up. It took them THREE hours to be finished with the car. By then, it was night time and there was very little light for me to inspect the car.

I drove home and the very next day, i'm looking at my brand new 07 wrx and guess what i see???????? A scrape on the rear bumper of the car with little cloth material hanging off the scraped paint. Obviously they did this while cleaning the car up. I do what anyone would do....... call them and tell them what i've discovered. Someone accused me of causing the damage myself and that i signed a release form that states that i accepted the condition of the car as soon as i left the lot. I calmly ask them to at least give me some touch up paint since i expected them to say SOMETHING like that. A week later i end up purchasing touch-up paint online since they didn't even want to give me a tube of touch-up paint. I complained to SOA and got a response from a nice lady named Linda who sent me a poster and a key chain.... a nice gesture but i still have a scraped bumper. Although its minor, i bought a new car for a reason.

Moral of the story is.. NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN until you get safely home if dealing with SCS.

//end rant.

Someone should contact one of those news stations and have them send in a few undercover reporters. I cannot believe the things they say. I honestly didn't realize how bad those guys are until I read the email response. I'm big on customer service, I always take note of what service providers shoudl and shouldn't do. I really hope these guys go down.

They've been in business selling Subarus for over 10 years and haven't gone down yet...it's all very strange.

I'm just curious. I don't work there. I don't think I will be working there. I'm just curious.

Sad thing -
theyve done that already a few times from what i heard.... and it still remains the same.

I coulda sworn a bunch of cats got fired and new ones got rehired, yet there are STILL issues..... i think the issue dwells much deeper than just with the workers there.

Fire the owners, their kids, and cousins.

Only way it will change is if someone with some clue about customer service buys the place.

ha that lugnut story reminded me of when my buddy picked up a car from them he was interested in buying, they let him take it home for the night.

I took a look at it and noticed instantly there were 3 lugs missing on passenger side and 2 on driver side front wheels.

needless to say he bought from someone else..

well today i got a call from Stevens creek subaru to ask what went wrong during the last service (i gave a terrible feedback for the subaru survey and even asked subaru to buy my car so i can get another one). i got a call from stevens creek the guy told me that he is the new service director and they want a chance to fix things and SOA has sent him here to fix the ****.

do you guys believe it or i am wasting my time and am in for more trouble next time i go in.

my gut tells me to stay away from these guys.

I have heard that the parts and service managers are new. Whether that makes a difference or not remains to be seen.

It takes a long time to climb back out of a hole that deep. If it's possible at all.

If the owners haven't changed, then its unlikely a new service manager has enough pull to get it done.
