I never knew this thread existed. . .lets see, where to start.
Bought my 04 Wagon last year and the wheel almost fell off, the drivers seat was loose, the battery cable was loose so would act all sorts of ****ed up, they said its never been painted but got home and found a wad of paper and painters tape in the bumper with fresh red paint. Promised a spare remote, not given. Tried to get info from them a week later for some insurance reasons, didnt/couldnt find the paper work that even said we bought the car there.
I've always heard the place was bad in the past, only reason I bought my car there was it was the exact one I wanted. Never going back and never recommending anyone there. Period.

They screwed us out of our warranty refund and kept refusing to file the paperwork for us to get refund since we didn't use it. Saying they would give us a free 15k service.. Going to contact SOA and have a nice chat with them. We got back all our warranty money from the other 3 subarus so it's very irritating they refused this time.
Best service we got from them was actually in 06/07 surprisingly when lots were having issues with them.

We paid for extended warranty and subaru will pay you back pro rated for what you didn't use. Of the 3 sti's and tribeca we got almost 2k back on each car except 1 sti because we only used one coupon per car of the services. They tried to say we will give you a free 15k service in exchange for the 2k um no I don't think so since 15k service is nothing. We tried to work with them for 8 months and I'm done now. Going to reach soa and let them know what the dealership is doing to us.

She gave her notice and moved on to a new job which isn't a job to her. She's working at a rally school in the Pacific Northwest now. Her last day was tax day (April 15th).
I wish her nothing but the best, personally.

15k service (aka oil service) or 2k, sounds like BS to me.
O my turn.
We bought the 2011 RED wrx from Stevens creek
I live about 80 miles away one way.
It took 4 weeks for there finance guy to grow some brains and realize the contract he wrote for us was boggus and he couldnt get the APR stated in the contract.
Week 4 we drove down and returned the car
The sales manager was so irate he threatened the sales guy job like it was his fault
Then they said we wouldnt get our whole down payment back!
lot of yelling, sales manager even got in my face
All and all SOA got a call and we finally got out down payment back and sent and got the 2011 wrx in Napa.
Napa subaru FTW

Who was the sales manager that got in your face? Do you remember his name or what he looked like? And who was the sales guy you dealt with?

It was through SOA hence why I am going to contact them and get it all straightened out.
And ya that's why I said no way I was exchanging 2k for an oil change.

Oh wow thats good to know. Was the warranty company with SOA or was it the one they try to sell like Guardian or whatever the name is of the company? I only got it since I was unfamiliar with Subaru's and quality, even though Im a BMW technician...but now I know theyre great and easy to work on.

I just went back down there last weekend to see if they would refund my extended warranty but it was a 3rd party one or whatever and they said that if they did refund it, it would go to the finance company, not a check back to me unless I traded in the car or it was totaled out. sucks cause I wanted to use the money for mods LOL. anyone know if thats true?

went to stevens creek subaru in 2006 to help my moms find a legacy 2.5i in silver w/ black interior.
Long story short, not a really bad experience but a bad sales technique of offering her 1k less every time she hinted she was going to leave and sleep on it.
Ended up getting the ideal one at walnut creek subaru

I just called parts about a pair of caliper bolts and when I inquired about overnight shipping (no, I won't be driving the car without brakes and yes, I'd like to take care of this ASAP) I could literally hear the other guy on the phone thinking I had two heads. Basically I got 'wtfed' in what seemed like an otherwise very normal situation, cool story bro.

Hey Bay Area! I've never really introduced myself...My name is Brian Bakhtiari and I am one of the managers here at Stevens Creek Subaru. I was just wondering if you have had any bad experiences with us in the past, what they were and what (if anything) was done on our part to resolve the issue. Whether it be here or in person, I would like to talk to you guys/gals and see what we can do to resolve any issues you have had with us in the past.

I get NOW what you were asking. To Palo Alto you shouldn't have to overnight the bolts to get them tomorrow. Ground usually does a fine job for such short distances. I didn't get that we had them in stock.
Again, sorry. If there is anything I can do to help you out let me know.
Ryan
I wasn't the one on the phone, but I did hear the confusion and I admit I was myself confused.
