Yet, I just went back to Steven's Creek Subaru and there's a whole new crew of sales people that are very pushy. I guess I'll try Fremont or Santa Cruz the next time. My wife wants one now..

Here's a recent story about Stevens Creek Subaru...
My friend was emailing for price quotes. Of course, Fremont, Santa Cruz, and Redwood City all reply with numbers, while SCS only gives an automated response.
Okay, fine... my friend takes the other prices and then tries to contact SCS again to see if they can beat them. He isn't very experienced with buying cars though, so he actually asks for an "OTD price before rebate", which was a mistake on his part, but here is how they replied:
_______,
The note you sent makes no sense.
You can't have a OTD price before rebate.
Do you understand?
OTD means *OUT THE DOOR*..... in other words it's the total cash price including sales tax, registration(DMV), state tire fee, doc fee, & all discounts and rebates.
Now we get to who you think you're buying the car from.
Where do you think you can get the better deal in reality.
I'm the #1 Subaru New Car Sales leader in all of California.
Thus far this calendar year Stevens Creek has sold close to 350 New Subaru from our store....................Fremont a whopping 80...................Santa Cruz barely makes 100.
Bottom line............anywhere else you go for a comparable Subaru means you'll pay more than you should.
Would you like to meet with me this weekend or one of those little places?
Please call 408-___-____ to set up a time, as I have a full list of customers coming to see me this weekend.

I love the attitude of their salesmen! So what do you guys think? Should he come in and wait behind that full list of customers?

Mr Tool probably won't be selling cars much longer or ever again.

HR at SOA won't be able to do much, but you should call 800-SUBARU3 and make a complaint. I'd also call and talk to the owner of the dealership and the sales manager. I know you don't like the place, but regardless of their attitude towards you they should still be told what the public thinks about their employees. Let them know an employee cost a sale. Losing that sale also means they lost a parts and service customer. That means more money they lose. When running a business the end goal shouldn't be fast sales based on location and giving cars away. It should be based on making a customer for life. Doesn't seem they understand that bit of it.
Just because other dealers haven't sold as many cars (there are reasons upon reasons that don't need to be gone into here) doesn't mean you'll pay more than you should.
What a total jackass to respond to a potential customer like that.

Todays SCS salesmen are *****s compared to the ones some of older members had to put up with 4-6 years ago. They'd say "hey man, why don't you trade that peice of **** in and get your self a real car?"...this is while you are walking up to the door!

I would not (& did not) buy there after my experiance a couple of years ago there but they are close to my home so I was still getting parts there once in a while. Unfortunatly the last 2 times I odered parts thru them They F' ed that up too so now I won't even buy an oil filter there. They suck from top to bottom & there service, forget about it.

well my experience with them is i called once to ask about something parts wise and the guy was a total ***. if that note posted above is true about being the best, then why did they start a thread wondering "what went wrong"?
Today;s first hand experience:
I went there for a oil change, bulb replace and door rattle. When i went to pick the car the top boss told me that there is no noice and wanted to take test ride and told me that he is going to report the aftermarket parts to subaru. I was like WTF? I told him that don't do this, he was like no i will do it. So I decide to take my car and walk off. So i start drivng and on San Tomas the frontend starts to shake at 40 miles. I thought there is a flat and **** i lost the wheel lock so i am ****ed.
I pull over and could not believe my eyes there were no wheel lugs on the driver side wheel. The car was driving on the wheel lock. As i was close to office i drove @ 10 mile/hr and went back to Stevens creek. My co worker gave me a ride. I went there and the service advisor was like why did that happen. I am yes please enlighten me. so he asks me which side i say left front, he says is that drivers side. I was like last time i checcked we are still in America so yes drivers side. He was don;'t give me sarcism. Then there was another manager in green shirt he was like just watching. So the service advisor asks me how can we settle this. I told him give me 4 lugs and don't report to subaru and we are even.
Here the green shirt manager says am i holding Chris (service advisor by the *****). I said he asked me how to solve i am telling what i want. to accept or reject is your choice.
The manager tell me that i removed the lugs and then am holding the dealership responsible. I was like yes wow you thought all that by yourself, dude u r brain must be working overtime man.
He said he is selling cars for more years than i was born. I was like yes good but one still makes mistake and all it takes is to fix it and not argue and go on the defensive.
he was like as u are begging i will give the lugs and u install them at that time i was totally pissed and i told him to shove the lugs. i will buy outdside and never return to stevens creek. he was like anydealer i go he will be there, i asked how. He is going to buy all dealerships. Then i told him i will sell subaru and buy a car where he is not there.
Bottom line is inspite warnings I did not listen and got the expericnce first hand. I wish Stevens Creek Subaru managers and bad guys rot in hell.
