I did the same thing. Internet sales through Stevens Creek. Very easy transaction and no haggling as the price was negotiated over email and phone. Was out in under two hours. I still have them service my car. They've been great to me.

The regular sales guys seem a bit shady, but I never deal with any of them anyway...

The quickest, most direct way to cure knock is to use higher octane fuel. The Sti engine, for example (per manf specs) say we should be using a grade that is higher than 91. We (in the US) are using the fuel that is the lowest the engine can take.

This is the best thread EV-AR!! hahaha!! They should switch to selling Fords... The 'Subaru Market' at stevens creek is for suckers only.

You could live as far as Sacramento, Tahoe, or Fresno, and you wouldn't regret for one second going to Santa Cruz to buy your Subaru. Best Subaru staff on the planet!! Sales, Service, AND Parts... all kick ***, super helpful and very knowledgeable. +1,000,000,000

Plus a hell of a 1st drive down the coast

The latest from their ( Stevens Creek Subaru ) internet sales manager. I got this response after emailing him a link to this very thread.

We live in a free country.......you can go buy a Subaru anywhere you want.

I've seen the Subaru fanatic & *crybaby* website before.

It has ZERO effect on sales here, but thanks for pointing it out anyway.

We continue to sell more Subaru's than any other store the the Northwest USA Region, The most in Northern CA, and by far the most in the Bay Area [this info as per Subaru Of America, so you don't accuse me of being a liar].

This month in particular we're absolutely KILLING every other dealer on Northern CA.
What is their secret beside their location?

^^^ This repsonse from Steven's Creek Subaru is a gorilla response, and it gives strong insight into their overall practice. I will take my car to Carlson for service from now on. I'm just one car, one customer, one sale. But their time will come when one turns into two, and two turns into four... and hundreds and so on. I will tell everyone I know.

Now why would you email them a link to this thread when Stevens Creek is the one who started this thread?

they make $500 on the car sale, it's the servicing that they screw you. that's where we are hurting them. No i-club member will give them a chance to service their car after the horror stories. F Stevens Creek, bump this thread frequently and we're doing all we can to educate people. It's all we can do.

This thread exists for a reason.

This is one of the most entertaining and informative threads I have read on i-club since i joined less than a month ago. Its good to see hella people telling a dealership to F*** off for their crappy service.. Good looking out for all suby enthusiasts, I will make sure anyone I know avoids this dealer at ALL COSTS!!!

It must suck to have the customers hate you Stevens Creek! Tough s*** though I guess you asked for it, I will send everyone I know to Santa Cruz.
