I had mobile trace installed on my WRX at Capitol Subaru last Saturday. I got a call around 3:30 to let me know that my car would be finished at 4 and that they were currently washing it for me.
I arrived at 4:10 after pumping some gas into the Legacy that they let me borrow, and after signing the work order I was handed some keys and was told that my car was parked at the end of the lot. After looking around for a bit I could not find my car anywhere, but pressing unlock on the fob made a nearby Forester beep (I soon found out that the Forester was a customer's car, not a loaner vehicle...).
After talking to the woman at the service desk and another employee, they found my keys and realized that my car was actually still parked in the back so they went and got it for me. The car had not been washed at all, unlike what I had been told on the phone. At this point however, I just wanted to get out of there.
I've heard bad stories about their service department before, but I wasn't sure how true they were because their sales and parts departments were excellent. Now though, I'm considering taking my car to Steven's Creek Subaru instead for maintenance.

Everyone's getting over market value for the BR-Zeds. Supply and demand, it's a hot ticket item for all the scenesters right now. I know of an automatic, one of only 3 here, and nobody wants it, ask for a discount?

Still, getting handed the keys to someone else's car was a big WTF for me. I was scared they might have given my keys to someone else and that person was like "Woohoo free WRX!".
+1 to that!!
