I agree. And thanks for your very helpful input.

actually even on EX500 with low power and late 80s chassis tech i am 100% sure i ran out of skill not bike capability.. and i think a lot of new riders will be the same way in their first yr or so

oh and i should add that it cost like $250/yr to insure my EX500 through bro's club insurance when i moved to CA. its a LOT cheaper to insure a EX500 than a new 600 supersport

oh and i bought my EX500 used for $3000 and sold it for $2300 after a couple of years and many many miles. $700 to learn to ride and have a lot of fun.. hard to go wrong with that

so what are "chicken straps" said in the picture reply?

and yeah, kawazuki 110's are SICK! 50's are sooo yesterday!

110s have a 4th gear you can open up, since they are the same engines used in scooters in Asia.

here's Travis' $20,000 collection

chicken strips refer to the non-worn outer strips of tire that you see on ppl who have sport bikes and only drive in straight lines.

If there were knee and elbow draggin like a pro, they would not have said chicken strips

all looks the lights are false thats why

So did you start off on a Ninja 250?

The funny thing about BARF, is 90% of them say to start on a 250/500, but like 75% of those same ppl seem to have started on 600s, lol

i started on a 1998 f3 after takign the MSF and rode that for over a year before getting my r6. i still want to purchase a 2008 250 to become a better rider now. i wish i had started on something as small as a 250.

i lowside the f3 within a week of owning it, you know why? because it had too much damn power. liek i said, i wish i had started on a 250. i walked away without a single scratch because i was wearing gear

yea, because most of them probably realize they should have started on a 250 in retrospect. People are trying to teach others from their mistakes, it happens in the world all around us. same reason married people tell others to never get married. so yea, they did and in retrospect they should NOT have....

tell them they will feel terrible if they kick you out and you end up dying, tell them they dont want to lose their son on bad terms because you'll come back to haunt them

haha thats a tough one. My dad wont let me ride because he says im too competitive pshhh.

i think the parents kicking the kids out streetbike thing is just an excuse to kick you out or to maintain control on you...otherwise you might have to start paying rent haha

and Chicken straps, lol i know what those are now. You see some guy cruising his R1 down the freeway in his T-shirt exposing his back tattoo all while he has a 4 inch wide flat spot on the rear tire lol noooooooob

I dont have kids but I think its pretty understandable for a parent to not want their kid to own a sportbike. IMO its about love and caring for your life, not to maintain control.

^yeah definitely that comes first, but the parents know thats a reason kids want to leave the house at 18 so they can do what they want.

Im sure there are professional racers that dont even ride the street.
