They do have good reviews, which is why I thought it would be okay to buy them. I forgot to order the PZero Neros I usually get in the 225/50/16 that I run, so luckily my old manager from America's Tire had another well rated tire in stock, the RE960 (I still get employee pricing there
= 10% over cost!). I've driven probably abount 5-6k miles on them and I'm very very disappointed in them. The PZeros that I had before definitely gripped better than these tires, not to mention they're cheaper. Turns I could normally take at 30-35 comfortably became 20-25 with these tires, and I've been forced to slam on my brakes from 20 - 0 because some idiot decides to change lanes in front of me in a parking lot and then just randomly stop. These tires lock up quickly, they squeal very early, and I can feel my car struggling to grip in normal turns for my PZeros.
It's gotten slightly better as I've burned off the preliminary rubber, and I've gotten used to the limits these tires give me. Though, if I could go back and get the PZeros I would have.
The few positives about having the RE960 vs the PZero though, is the 40k mile warranty, a slightly better ride, and overall a better "family" oriented ride with a touch of sportiness. I can't comment about any snow or rain, as I've yet to drive these in the rain and I rarely go to the snow.
