Yeah I'm in south lake.
Took a bit but I think going slow and getting there is better then going fast to crash.
I got in about 2am. I left walnut creek 11pm.
But from strawberry to tahoe I had chains on. (front wheels) 15-25 mph
Almost everyone that pasted me wrecked..
pics on the road at 1am last night.

Its been snowing the whole time I have been here..... If you come up this way... Be safe and carry food, water, blankets, chains, snow shovel. With chains I even got stuck parking. Had to dig myself out. ( I took my mummy bag) Case you get stuck.

really? i was thinking of changing back to my original REs for the winter and drive through the snow? Would the Toyo Proxes 4 be better then?
RE070's are not meant for snow AT ALL. I wouldn't dare bring my STi to the snow with the stock tires, the proxes would be much, much better.

you talking about your RE92's? Those are o.k. but the P4's are on a whole different level. MUCH better tire for the crap weather. It's what I run. If you're talking about RE070's... I highly recommend not doing that. They are not MS rated and if you get stopped they will make you chain up and beyond that, you'd probably have to chain up anyways. They are summer performance tires and they freeze up and turn into hockey pucks and don't grip for crap. NOT meant to be in cold weather or snow.
