I saw this Special Weather Statement earlier, too. Too bad the Nat'l Weather Svc didn't also state that we're only looking at a few inches outta this system, and that there's not much else on the horizon til just before Turkey Day. But at least it's better than nuthin'. We just need the storm door to stay open. This li'l here... li'l there... is getting really old.

Luckily, it's still really early in the season. Hell, winter doesn't officially begin until Friday, Dec. 21st @ 10:08pm PST. But if Xmas rolls around and only half of the resorts are open & they're still depending heavily on snowmaking, I'll be sacrificing virgins I tell ya!!! And since I'm not looking to become a senseless homicidal maniac, I urge y'all to do your part & help get Mother Nature on our side.

:RockOn - not mine: Get your snow-dance on like these guys!!! :RockOn - not mine:

Just got back from the snow show. Saw a few subys one most notably by the entrance/exit of the parking garage. WRB 04-05 w/ FMIC, supertones and I-club sticker. Also the front plate was moved to the passenger side EVO style.

From what I saw the selection was alright for apparel, and plenty of bindings/boards and boots to choose from; butron bindings especially.

5 inches of Fresh Snow + Making Snow
(picture)

We've turned on the snowmaking and we are fired up adding snow to the 5 inches that fell Saturday night. We are working hard to get open (tentatively) for Monday, November 12th (Observed Veteran's Day). Please call before heading up. Scheduled hours for opening day (only) 12noon-after dark. Tentative schedule includes the Gunnar's Chairlift, offering one trail for intermediate skiers/riders, our moving carpet for beginners, and some jib features for our park riders.

thats cool, i want to drive up and just make a jump and maybe bring a rail to session...better than driving up AND paying $60 for a lift ticket.

or we could hike up the gunbarrel once it really starts to snow...whos with me?

Just checked their mtn cam & they have a decent crowd o' folks hitting their li'l run off the Gunnar chair. Wow! Once again... Boreal claims first to open in Tahoe.

My prediction is that I'll get my first turns in 5 weeks! My hope is that we'll have substantial coverage & that most resorts will have more 50% of their runs going! Woohoo!

Damn! I certainly hope so, bro! I need as much early season dumpage as possible. I only have 3 weeks for winter break. I'm planning to stay focused on academics... even thru the winter quarter. Hopefully I'll be able to make it out to the slopes at least every other week btwn all the studying, etc. *crosses fingers*

Let it snow... Let it snow... Let it snow...
