We usually road-trip it between April and June for spring boarding + mountain biking.

Heading out to colorado sounds real fun.

FWIW Vail was voted #6 overall resort in Transworld Snowboarding. But then again N* is cool but not great and they got #5.

probably flying, its with family so I imagine we aren't going to drive. I kinda want to go anyways being that im thinking of attending college in Colorado

Well, here it is, my best guess for the winter season. I define the winter season as the period from November 15 to March 15, so what you see on the maps are the departures from normals for that time period. Now, please don't ask me how much snow will fall in your backyard because I just don't know the answer to every spot.

... The western mountains will get plenty of snow; however, the California Sierra may struggle at times to get heavy snow as the storm track stays across Oregon and Washington.
I'm just glad that forecasting is NOT an exact science. Most info I've come across says that we've got a mild to moderate La Nina on our hands, which means Cali can be anywhere from below normal to above normal for precipitation. However, temps are likely to be cooler than normal. So, we're looking at light & dry pow when it does fall!

For the guy's complete outlook w/ maps, etc., go HERE.
