For all you bear heads they just started a unofficial bear valley page, and they are talking about the community buying BV as a co-op and running the mountain. This sounds like a great oppurtunity for us as enthusiasts to actually be a part of making a mountain better.

Just went snowboarding for the first time ever and I'm hooked. I can't believe I waited so long to actually tried it...
Van someone explain how snowbomb actually works? It seems way to good to be true when you scoop it up for 50 bucks.
And any recommendation on gear? Thinking about purchasing a nice set up once the seasons over, snag some deals or whatnot

I have never done snowbomb but as for equipment.. The question is on how much you want to spend. My first board was a Burton Custom series.. Excellent board for all mountain and does (alright) in the terrain park.. (too stiff for my liking).. Now I am using the Ride Machete with Ride bindings... Excellent structure and perfect for terrain park fun and does decent on ice.. a stiffer board would do better on ice. Boots.... 2 seasons ago I ordered Salamon Dialogues and I am hooked! These are by far the best snowboarding boots due to comfortably, flexibility, and quality.
if you want a picture of my setup lemme know. I can show you exactly how flexible it is and also my boots.
