Hey Josh,

Please take pictures of the rear on the stiffest settings as I had asked you to do. I will forward them to Perrin once I recieve the pictures.

About the front bar issue. You told me it was brand new and you wanted to return it because you decided you did not need a front bar. I don't see where it changed to the bar not fitting when you told me it was brand new and never installed or tried to be installed. I guess that doesn't really matter, we would have still taken the bar back had it been in new condition and with all components it came with new, like the original box...

edit - Also I forgot to add about the contact, you told me it was only on the stiffest settings that it came in contact. Gagan and I both look at the car on the lower settings and it was not contacting then. Over time did it start contacting on the softest setting or did we mis understand you?

davisvans- First things first...it was not I you had a conversation, it was Philip, my partner at MPJ.

Secondly, there is no mention of what the part number and model application was on the Perrin box the swaybar in question came in. Is the part number on the box which your swaybar came in the following:

-PSP-SUS-100 (22mm Adj. Front Swaybar: WRX/STI)

If it is, that is the parts number listed on the Perrin website that is suppose to be for both the WRX & STI. There may be a manufacturer issue, such as not enough of a bend, thus the reason why the bar is not clearing. Or, they may have packaged the wrong swaybar in the wrong box. Those things are not under our control.

Lastly, typing a supposed conversation between yourself and Philip that is not accurate is not cool. Unless this conversation has been recorded or transcripted, who is to know if that is exactly how the conversation played out?

Philip and I spoke about your dilemna last night and I advised him to tell you that we are going to inform Perrin of a possible problem and you should do the same too...more people bringing up issues to a manufacturer will usually get more attention. Never did we say that we would not do anything to help resolve your situation.

We have always prided ourselves with trying to service the I-club community the best way we can. I strongly believe that this issue is more of a result in a breakdown communication on BOTH our parts. Maybe we should have communicated to you better on what we could have done to help...that I will admit. But, for you to try and make it seem that we basically told you that it was your problem and we would not help at all is unjustified.

So, to put closure on this matter, bring the bar in question back to the shop and Gino from GB Motorsports will take a look at it and determine if it fits or not. If it doesn't fit, we will get you a new Perrin swaybar.

I'd really prefer that members try harder to resolve issues with manufacturers or vendors directly, rather than posting publicly before exhausting other means first. Even though we all have access to email, IM, and PM, picking up the phone is really the best and most convenient way to communicate while minimizing the chance of a misunderstanding. Well, short of the parties speaking face-to-face, that is.

The problem with posting in the forum is that it can result in a mob mentality as described by members who've been around for a while. It also often backfires on the member who posted for the purpose of looking for support. Yes, there may be instances where a member really feels they have tried everything, so there is a point where they might post out of desperation. I'm suggesting that talking things out is the best option to get satisfaction, and without disrupting the peace and tranquility that is BAIC's hallmark.

Thanks for reading. Carry on.

see you tomorrow .... no worries we will sort it out...

FYI, I just found out from the tech at the shop that we worked on your car with no charge even though you did your own install. Now that is already a testament that we never leave anyone hanging.

i did offer to pay, but the tech said it wasnt my fault. theres two things that i want to mention, first, you guys offer me to exchange my sway bar yesterday, already knowing the situation, but why would you guys decide to change your mind and not exchange my sway bar the very next day? Second, did Philip not tell me to try to resolve it with perrin? did he not said there was nothing he can do about it? if you guys did what you agree on at the first place, i would not have wrote this review.

^^^he has a point. He shouldn't be flamed for posting a negative review about a vendor. But looks like MPJ/GB is going to make best out of this situation.

We waited for you but no show or even a call at the shop. No worries, I can look at the car late in the afternoon on weekdays or all day Saturday.

Now about the money "I dont care about the money" I just want you to be happy and we always take care of the customers. You will be back for other services and we need your support to keep us afloat. The swaybar issue is so minor. MPJ/GBmotorsports is known to fix stuff and not even charge on most minor / major things.

see you soon

i have not had a problem with gb/mpj or sd. these are great vendors and whenever i had anything in question, they would always answer it or ask me to stop by the shop so they could diagnose it. +1000000 to these vendors
