A couple quick videos. I have my third run (0.82) and another short clip from another run. I actually bogged the ebrake turn on the third run but still was able to pull in a good time. I love the STi.

Edit: oh yeah, pay no attention to my finish on the 3rd run video.... it's the time that counts, not the direction I'm pointing.

I don't know if it's the alkalinity of the Black Rock Playa dust that's bad (that doesn't make sense, from what I remember of my chemistry), or if it's got a lot of salt in it or what, but it definitely makes things rust fast.

Nice runs, Skylar. Oh, to have that kind of power and LSD's... *sigh*.

I remember being in the big right hand sweeper at the top of the hill (the one after the LH e-brake turn) and coming out the backside with my foot mashed to the floorboards muttering, "come ON!" as the car dragged itself through the exit and back up the hill. You have enough power that you actually get sideways there and have to countersteer a little.

*whine* I need a faster car. This is so unfair.

I don't think anyone feels sorry for you yet Hoche. Maybe after I learn how to drive consistently. One thing to note, my 82 and 83 times were with the diff in full lock. I think I'll change the locked label on the DCCD to read "faster" and open to read "sideways".

I suggest labelling those foot levers under the steering column too. Put "faster" over the middle one, and "sideways" over the one on the right side. The one one the left you can probably just leave unmarked.

Heh.. that's exactly right. Runs 3 and 4 I used the brake pedal. Amazing how that "slow in fast out" stuff really works!

Full lock defintely allowed me to keep accelerating w/o carrying a long crazy drift, though. I should post video of runs 1 and 2 with the diff open - I was way sideways around that long sweeping right at the back of the course.

Did anyone get any video of my fun runs in the RX7? I'm curious to see how those looked. The first was an 88 and the second was an 87.

But looked like you were laughing to much inside you were having to much fun. i was beting my friend that skylar couldnt close the door after he buckled the 5 point in tight..I almost won but he used his foot to close the door. LOL i thought it was funny though

Hoche tends to laugh a lot when he drives that car. Megan took it out once too and had the same "problem". I guess I need to give it a try.

I don't have any, but I had my cone-cam on his front window for Lewis' 4 runs. I'll encode/post one of them this evening. The mic was on the inside so you can hear just how noisy it is inside that thing.
