we shouldn't forget this man has a family in morning, he made a mistake and paid the ultimate price. My thoughts go out to this family cause they are the ones suffering , the problem is a day doesn't go by i don't see law enforcement speeding for no reason or on their cell phones while driving. Just because you enforce the laws doesn't mean you shouldn't abide by them.
I can't stand that crap.
I once saw a San Jose cop going like 90 at least on the freeway near fairfield (dunno why he was there), but since he was off duty and out of his jurisdiction, I got right up next to him and signaled for him to slow down... I didn't go as fast as him, since he was coming up on me really quickly, I gestured as he came up on me, I was going about 75, and he was coming really quick.
Anyway, the a-hole LAUGHED at me and kept going, passed me like I was going backwards.
To the LEO's here, that cop couldn't have done anything to me if I had sped up to his speed, right? I mean, other then call a local cop or something... He's way far from home prolly doing some court stuff, he's totally out of his jurisdiction, so there isn't much he can do, right? I knew the answer to this but just can't remember.

So what's the deal with that type of situation?
I don't believe in a set of rules.
My religion?
#1 Enjoy life
#2 Don't kill or hurt any other human being while doing it (yea yea, this is interpretation)
very simple guidelines. I do not believe in going to a special room with a guy dressed in robes every sunday is going to save me, saying the same **** over like we're zombies @ a seance, making t's with my hands, etc.
Every religion has their own little things they do or whatever they pray for. All leads to the same goal. Being at some great afterlife. If it was so great, then lets all just run around and chop off our own heads and tell that dude up there to send us to somewhere special (yea right).
I probably haven't prayed as much as you have, maybe like 1/1000000000000000000000th of the time, and I believe I'm still going to the same place you.
As long as I protect my family and bring up healthy kids I'm good as gold, that's as far as I'm concerned. Don't try to make humans better than all other animals. You think those cows being slaughtered or chickens being force fed are or being born into starvation in Africa is somehow's God's "Trials and tribulations" yada yada yada.
I don't mean to persuade anyone to anything. I just personally don't believe in a set of guidelines, cuz there are so many of them, that all reach the same thing, just worded differently with different tasks.

I guess if I were to only ask one question about why you believe what you believe, it would be, "How do you know?"

The stuff I do know is like knowing when I'm making someone mad or happy, or when I know I'm supposed to protect family and parenting (yea controversial, I have no kids yet, but everyone isn't supposed to parent the same way). Throwing in my volunteer time, helping someone out even when it isn't my job. Stuff like that to me shows me the gratitude that people appreciate what I did. To me that makes me closer to "savior" than anything I prove with "Well God made me help you" or "God will see my good deed"
I think seeing the appreciation and happiness of a fellow person while I'm helping them is noble and honorable in the right of itself. I do it for the people and their reaction to me is genuine and gold compared to donating 10 bux every sunday after these guys run around and ask you for money 10 times a prayer.
Forgot to add another side note (this is kinda far fetched)...
Imagine all those people who attend church, or temples, or whatever they attend...
Now IMAGINE, just IMAGINE, if all the people who attended these places for however long actually did community service instead. (obviously not ALL at once, but throughout the month) Planting trees, helping rebuild neighborhoods. Upgrading the neighborhoods. Putting in their own service time into community service time, to helps kids in need or something similar. I do know some churches do that every now and then, but what about ALL the time. I would imagine it would be a much better world when people volunteer their time SHOWING everyone else how much they care for each other than what they do in church.
