It's sad that a LEO lost his life in a stupid street race.

If he wasn't street racing, then he certainly was driving recklessly to wrap-his-Camaro-around-a-power-pole.
I'm gonna spitball here & guess he wasn't code 3 reporting to duty, he was hooning. Nice to know LEO's that are engaging in such behavior literally down the street where my mom walks her dog. Oh and he'll still get the pagentry of a hero's funeral, awesome!

We all make mistakes, but for people to *bash* after the fact, im sure everyone here has done some dumb *ss stuff in their vehicles. Regardless let this be another example of how street racing takes lives. LEO's are human too, we all make mistakes just sad this one ended in someones life.

I think it would almost be funny if a huge group of "modified" cars showed up along the route between the church and cemetery - and the drivers would wave signs like - "Street Racing is bad, mmkay??" and "Sherriff Street Racing Team loses one of their own - NO BIG LOSS".
