Oddly, most of the studies are of people walking and getting into accidents wearing headphones.

Study Finds People Injured While Wearing Headphones Triples in Six Years - Yahoo! Voices - voices.yahoo.com

unfortunaly that link does not have the direct study link. I am trying to find the one by Cambridge I read 2-3 years ago.

This.

And, "man I wish my car had as much awesome powah so I could get out of this 45mph slow pack!"

But seriously... forget it. They aren't worth it.

Back to the law regarding headphones, what if you had a headset with active hearing protection, which cancels out loud/harmful noises without diminishing your ability to hear ambient sounds.

Since you can still hear normal sounds with them, would they still be illegal?

Now, granted, there was no oncoming cars and we are talking about a very long straight road with excellent visibility.

To pass all of them at once, I went about 75mph. I think. I wasn't looking at the speedo, I wanted to be sure I just got around all of them.

At the stop like like a mile later the 2nd car I think was honking and yelling at me. I didn't notice at first since I was just car watching at the light and I had music playing in my earbuds, but I think I saw someone waving their arm next to me. Anyways, light turned green so I kept going, they made a right.

I'm an *******, I suppose, since I passed in a legal passing area, but for having done so in the most efficient manner?

Thoughts?

I got honked at last week too.

I was turning left where the left lane was left only and the right lane was left or straight or right. There were two cars in the left only and the light was about to turn green, so I moved into the right lane and the light turned green before I got to the line. Oblivious Prius driver starts drifting into my lane in the middle of the intersection and honks at me while nearly running me off the road.

F-me... right?

You're not alone Gagan, all kinds of people don't pay attention. Even me sometimes. I try to chill out just because nobody benefits from someone driving pissed off and full of rage, and if I make a mistake because I'm raging, I'm still responsible... not the person who pissed me off.

I had that happen to me by a police officer in fremont.

2 turn lanes. I was in the left of the 2. Officer in the right. I got out ahead of the officer. So the lanes merge in to 1 lane. I'm 3/4 to a full car AHEAD of the officer as the lanes merge. Instead of getting in behind me he gases it. I literally have no where to go. The lane is gone. I was forced to jump the curb and drive on the island to avoid hitting the officer. He slams on his brakes and comes in behind me when I come down off the island. Pulls me over.

Dude asks me WTF I was doing. I said... sir... I had the legal right away and you forced me off the road to avoid an accident. The dude goes nuts on my... swearing in my face.. pointing at me.. fbombs... the whole 9. Dude seriously spit on my face several times as he was yelling at me.

If it was not for my girlfriend at the time I would have gone to prison. I was about to knock the POS out. I literally made a fist and was about to swing on him when she jumped on my right arm.

I just kept saying.... sir... sir... why are you so angry? I think I might have thrown in a you caused this whole mess to begin with or some other smart *** thing. I can't remember. It was all I could do to not jump out and stomp his face. I don't take being spit on too well. And mind you this was when I was 21.

It was my first ticket. My folks told me to just drop it and do traffic school. I should have fought the damned ticket.
