I have multiple fire arms scattered across the country; never know where you're gonna be when the balloon goes up.

We are prepared and can accept many more that are willing to help/participate.

BTW, just before Y2K, I had many Mormon neighbors. They asked me what my family had to "prepare".
I told living next to Mormons was good enough for me.
One of the moms said if I approached her house, she'd shoot me dead.
I responded, smiling, with "what makes you so certain I won't kill your entire family to feed mine?"

it isn't gonna take folks 2 days to walk across the bridge from Oakland t find a new TV...

i will scavenge with lethal force if i have to... my neighbors are mormon but have told me they don't like guns... that means if there's a flood in Sacramento im going to pump up my raft, float over to their house with my weapons and take their food.

supplies w/o defense = no supplies

Perhaps we should put together a gathering, over here at my place. I can BBQ, and help all the people who don't have a basic BOB to build one for themselves.

I have had the bug in my head to assemble something. A few weeks back I saw "The Road" it was disturbing enough to provoke thought.

I've always carryed a hunting knife, extra water bottle and wind up flashlight in the car. Maybe I'll nab one of my brother's MRE's and cram it in the spare tire area. I never thought of extra clothing, aside from the random jacket in the trunk.

The extra clothing comes in handy. I have had times when I was out, and needed to change (one time slipped in some mud) and it was nice to have clean clothing.

Yes, please! The only reason I haven't freaked out too much about not having a kit is because my parents have one and I live within walking distance of their place... But I'm moving across the country so I really should put one together and I'm just not sure what to include. Great idea

I'm inspired, I've got a couple of my Navy sea bags lying around, they'll do nicely.
