That was the one. Had a Kona Longboard when I got home too!

Has anyone had St. Peter's Organic English Ale? It comes in a funny 500 mL bottle that is shaped kind of like a flask. The beer itself is interesting. Feels kind of thick and has very little carbonation. Still good though, I'll probably pick one up every once in a while.

Oh, and don't go trying to pour the whole bottle straight into a pint glass, as 500 mL is just a wee bit more than a pint

omgz Marin Brew Co's Hefe Doppel Weizen is awesome. It's so awesome I want to freeze it in the winter, skate on it, then thaw it out in the spring time and drink it!

I think I'm going to watch beerfest!

Ate and drank at the El Toro brewing Co in Morgan Hill.

I've always enjoyed their Oatmeal Stout, but I had a Black Raspberry Ale that wasn't too bad either.

Great food there BTW.

I'm going to have to put that on my list of places to try

Jacob, how are your brews coming along? My light ale is bottled, but either I messed up my readings when I brewed it, or More Beer's expectations of the kit are off, because I came out with 5.37% ABV instead of barely over 4% as the kit predicted! I also brewed my Scottish Ale yesterday evening, and at some point during it's fermentation I'll go get a 5 gallon carboy for a secondary.

Oh, and I meant to put some flaked barley in it, but I forgot to get some from More Beer.

We seriously all need to do some local brewery meets. El Toro? Hopyard? (Not a brewery but they usually have about 20+ locals on tap) Pyramid?

I'd be down for that. The north bay guys had something like that going, and they have all the good breweries to do it at too!

This does sound like fun, although I would be down only for places close to public transportation. Also, Devil's Canyon Brewery in Belmont does a pretty awesome party on the last friday of every month - cheap awesome beers and great food.

There is also Steelhead Brewing Co right across the street from the Burlingame Caltrain station as well as Speakeasy in SF which I have been dying to go to...

ATTENTION SIERRA NEVADA DRINKERS

I am going to need tons of empty (although you can also donate full ones) Sierra Nevada bottles for home brew christmas 6-packs for 8 to 10 people (48-60 bottles) so if anyone in the South Bay wants to help be out and donate empty bottles just stick them in a bag and I'll come by and pick them up. The closer to Sunnyvale the better.

If I donate, do I get full ones in return for Christmas?

My uncle drinks a lot of Sierra Nevada, but he's in Santa Rosa and I rarely see him.
