Mixing Gas here.
I would take that car to subaru asap man it burning a good amount of oil and those 2012 are issue prone from the factory. And with cracked piston rings the car will still feel normal. I would go stock asap and go to subaru. Knowing subaru and the quality of the 07 and up cars it ight be smart to go to subaru just to be safe
in terms of warranty, i couldnt agree more, but there's gotta be a good reason for it other than saying "i noticed my cobb ap say blahblahblah" - otherwise i'll get the "it does that!" dealership response.
I use that 76 station and I've mixed up to 50% 100 with 50% 91, it does make a difference though I had to reset the ECU once to reset the FLKC. I have over 500 logs (hit the Tactrix standalone counter twice) and have run with a mixes of 100 oct and E85 (from the Whipple station a few miles from that 76); raising the effective octane has a measurable impact on knock.
I can't speak to the 2012s specifically or the oil burning issue, but it's absolutely a given that the GR/GH stock tunes can knock, particularly at WOT on California 91. Isolated -1.4s sadly aren't out of the ordinary, but can often be eliminated completely with a good tune.

ok, so its my mistake: the first 1000 miles during break-in, i DID lose 1 quart and dealership said it was normal during breakin. Since my first oil change, i had thought i been loosing oil, but well, i havent taken off the oil cap to measure the oil. Did that several times today and oil is sitting on FULL. i'm guessing with the oil cap on and the o-ring, i'm creating a pressure pushing the oil down a little.
