Safe Percentages When Mixing Toluene
What are the safe percentages to Mixing this stuff to a tank of gas? I've read 10% all the way up to 30% is safe, so which one is it? I've heard that mixing high percentages of Oxygenated additives will eat up your fuel lines also. So, if I am at a 1/4 tank and I wanted to add Toluene to my next tank of gas, how much should I add and what octane will it be?

10-30% is the range. If your car is set up to handle the octane that a 30% mix provides..then there is no problem altho you should add an ounce of Marvel Mystery Oil or tranny fluid to offset the dryness of the toluene. Xylene also works well and is slightly higher octane.
If your car is not tuned for higher octane, then it is a waste of money and I would suggest going with the 10%.
Using the gas gauge to judge measurements is not very precise.

i usually put 1-2 gallons in a full tank of gas...i dont know the ratio but thats what i have always put AND heard to put...never had a problem...with the 2 gallons it smells strong but runs like a champ...good luck and as usual this is just my opinion i am no expert
