DCCD percentages...

its been baffling my mind for the longest time.

everyone knows the 35/65, 50/50 . . .
but no one has figured the rest... being that i sell these cars i was a little embarrassed not to know what they were... so i figured it out. assuming subaru spread the ratios out this evenly- here they are.[hypothetically speaking...)

50/50
47/53
44/56
41/59
38/62
35/65

if anyone disagrees - by all means explain it better! subaru gave us no other information other than whats already been posted.

There used to be a sticky at the top of this page:
http://www.imprezawrxsti.com/postnuk...=viewforum&f=1

That said how to get it. you did have to pay $20 to Subaru and login to their technical database. You got 72 hours to download as much .pdf files as you liked. I guess they thought it would take forever for someone to get it all. Some guy made a program to automatically get all the pages. Took about 4 hours or something like that.

I can't find the post there anymore though. Might IM 4MLA1FN as he was the thread starter.

cool, so the info they gave u is gold right?

(not that it really matters...) i just wanted to put into perspective what the other four settings actually were. i usually only use auto or 35/65 anyway.

Do we know for sure that the DCCD is limited to 6 steps? With the key on and the radio on but turned all the way down I can here some noise in the speakers that varies in pitch when I adjust the DCCD wheel (only when in manual mode). The pitch change is smooth and liner even between steps on the display. Not sure if the noise is coming from the wheel side of the DCCD brain or the output to the center diff from the brain.

actually I had a mighty good launch tonight (slipped it quickly at about ~5k) with DCCD set with max rear wheel power, and I smoked a late-80's early-90's 911 Turbo.

My front lifted nicely and the front wheels chirped slightly.

timeslip? i'd like to see... i've never taken my STi or my wifes WRX wagon to the track...
after 17k miles (STi) and 42k miles(wrx) i've never launched at 5k rpms.
