Mixing Gas here.

hi guys. Found a station off of woodside (76) that does 100 octane. I just mixed ~ 3 gallons with my regular 91 octane to push the octane level up a bit (my AP was reporting some FB knocking when pushed, but went away with the new octane mix).

Is there any detriment to doing this? i've read going full 100 octane was bad, left something like fuel pump clogged or some manner?

you have a 12 and are showing signs of knock.. you might want to retuen it to stock and make sure the car is ok.

these are Feedback knocks showing in my datalogs during WOT. i dont feel or hear it :/ car runs fine and idles fine and accelerates good?

my datalogs were showing Feedback knocking on the Tuned map going stage1 ACN91 when reaching target boosts. went to LWG ACN91 and it went away (because of lowered boost). but decided to mix some gas and the Feedback Knock corrections went away on the regular wastegate map.

On stock tune, it had some FB knocking as well when WOT. I'm taking her into speedelement this thursday to do a boost leak test - there's some AF numbers i'm not liking. I had some AF learning 1C numbers reaching to +10/11 after a reflash, but it's dropped down everyday. got me a bit concerned.

anyways, GAS! ok to mix? can you mix a 93 and run the 93 map or is it still bad because of california's ethonal blahblahblah?

car's got about 5K miles on it. at about 2.5K miles, it went through a quart of oil, but i had assumed it was due to car still breaking in. got its first oil change at 2.5K was when i noticed the oil.

right now, it's burned a little bit of oil, i say... maybe 1/8 oil burned.

Return that car to stock, and get it checked out... As far as mixing gas, I believe it shouldn't matter. If your map says 93 octane even if you run 100 all your going to see as far as gains is the maximum output of your map.

would that be necessary? going back to stock i mean - i wouldnt know what to say to the dealership since i can't really feel a hesitation or anything. i'm mostly mixing the 91 octane just to get it to 92 so i could get rid of that small FBKC, not necessarily to improve performance. The ACN91 LWG map is IMO < stock map < ACN91 NWG map.

here's the log i noticed some FBC:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...hRTFTa1E#gid=0

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...yamNULUE#gid=0

here's the log when i dumped in a bit better octane gas:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...RY3hMcWc#gid=0

my AF numbers are a bit jumpy so i'm having it checked for a vac leak.

i dont notice a difference otherwise tho in terms of butt dyno (no hesitation etc.)

car's completely stock. I took off teh TMIC to install an SPT heatshield and yanked out the intake silencer for a day or two(but put it back on since it made not much difference in audible sound).

I would take that car to subaru asap man it burning a good amount of oil and those 2012 are issue prone from the factory. And with cracked piston rings the car will still feel normal. I would go stock asap and go to subaru. Knowing subaru and the quality of the 07 and up cars it ight be smart to go to subaru just to be safe

This. You have a warranty, might as well use it.

Pretty sure Subaru considers burning a quart of oil per 1000 miles is acceptable.
