I've said it before and I'll say it again, it all boils down to our actions. Not our individual actions, but our actions as a whole (read: imports). There are far more idiots causing trouble and strife for others while driving imports/sportbikes than there are in SUVs and Harleys.
We're an easy target, so you have to do what you can to minimize your chance of being singled out, ie: no limo tint or Nur Spec exhausts.
The next time you see the fool in the 125hp stock Honda with a melon shooter exhaust going WOT from stop light to stop light, thank him for your next trip to the State Ref.

Any SJPD harley that pulls you over. Ask to see his CARB cert of his loud pipes before he write you up on emissions or noise.
Or just start reporting them to the link above. Get their plates as you see them and report them too.... Fair game I think... Kinda funny to see a bunch of SJPD harleys down at the state ref!

like jason said the case isnt there. stuff like this has been going on for ever. my dad had a model A, all done up when he was a kid. and the cops stoped him all the time for all the mods, and there were no smog laws back then. and also if you did try and all this lawsuit stuff, just remember if your going to do it then there really gonna mess with everyone. its just a meet it can be moved. yes the state ref sucks but again you got to pay to play.
