See that's why I'm staying away from San Jose. I keep getting saddled with dead hookers and bags of lye to schlep around.

I got my ticket in the mail today
here is what I owe...
134.xx if I get proof of correction (state ref)
509.xx if I choose bail forfeiture
Here is they crazy part. If I request a court appearance then the amount due for a court appearance would be 509.xx WTF??? they obviously do not want me to fight this ticket.
it says in all caps your appearance is: OPTIONAL
anyone else get their tickets??

WTF? We have to pay $134.xx EVEN if we PASS state ref?! WTF?!?!?!?! Is there any way to get a reduction? That's some serious BS.

that's probably why, they know that since they closed it down, they can milk you for any money they want.

yup. I do believe thats their plan. by the way this is my first state ref ticket. I'm going to fight it, on the basis that I should have never been pulled over.
Greddy advertises the greddy evo 2 catback to be well under 95 and 50 state legal. I plan on getting db reading of my exhaust to bring with me to court.

I think it is time to write to SJ Mercury or 7 On Your Side or something like that.

What they are saying is, if you get pulled over for your exhaust, and the cop thinks it is slightly illegal, whether you are legal or not, they can bust you and you are just guilty. Not innocent. Just guilty. And then you pay the $134 fine in order to fix your exhaust, an exhaust that didn't need to be fixed in the first place.
