I'm weird. I know.

Nope. My dad is a retired cop for Santa Clara PD, and I ride with a paramedic for SFFD. Me? I'm a wedding photographer.

Hmmm... I'm out there 1-2 times a week riding Rocky Ridge and I think maybe once or twice ever I've run into other riders. I see hikers almost daily, but they usually stick to the fireroad and stay off the single track.

so when is the first road ride? i'm free on the weekends. the earlier the better so we don't cook on the roads. something nice and easy with good food at the end.
I didn't go through all the pages, but has anyone done waterdog in Belmont? That ish was so tough and had so many blind corners it wasn't even fun. Anyone else have that experience?

Demo forest is nice, just a pain to get up the mountain on a DJ with a 11-19 cass, too lazy to swap it out. But Braille is by far the best with lots of jumps on the way down, good technicals and whatnot. Its funny to pass peeps on actual downhill bikes, just make sure you wear a full face and good shin guards..
Just got my OG Heckler frame back from powdercoating -- In World Rally Blue of Course!

I'm ready to eff up the new paint job. Going riding in Truckee this weekend. Holler.

So is this thread still a thing? I'm a downhill racer from Colorado and I heard there's some solid shuttle runs in the Santa Cruz area.
Anyone want to show me around?

demo, Annadale, Santa Cruz, and Skeggs are probably the best spots in the bay...these places make the travel worth it IMO
right now though some trails are hard to ride because of fallen leaves which makes it a bit difficult/slippery

I'm down for a ride some time soon. I'm going to demo on Saturday with a couple friends, and would be down to rip the UCSC trails some time. I also ride a Nomad.
