You should go check out Forester.org. Quite a few Bay Area people there.
Already on there.

Oddly enough, as much as I've done hundreds of rides at Santa Teresa, UCSC and Demo, along with plenty of rides at Northstar, Downieville, and Ashland, OR, I've never ridden Fremont Older.

I'm weird. I know.

Nope. My dad is a retired cop for Santa Clara PD, and I ride with a paramedic for SFFD. Me? I'm a wedding photographer.

My boss rides with the firemen on the ST trails at 5-7 am. That's why I asked.

Hmmm... I'm out there 1-2 times a week riding Rocky Ridge and I think maybe once or twice ever I've run into other riders. I see hikers almost daily, but they usually stick to the fireroad and stay off the single track.

Not really sure. We need to figure out a good location for everyone.

I'd like to get one started though.

Skeggs is chron, usually hit up Manzanita, but careful around the steps cause usually people hop off and walk around it, if you are nimble, its super cake. And go easy on the front brake.

Demo forest is nice, just a pain to get up the mountain on a DJ with a 11-19 cass, too lazy to swap it out. But Braille is by far the best with lots of jumps on the way down, good technicals and whatnot. Its funny to pass peeps on actual downhill bikes, just make sure you wear a full face and good shin guards..

So is this thread still a thing? I'm a downhill racer from Colorado and I heard there's some solid shuttle runs in the Santa Cruz area.

Anyone want to show me around?

demo, Annadale, Santa Cruz, and Skeggs are probably the best spots in the bay...these places make the travel worth it IMO

right now though some trails are hard to ride because of fallen leaves which makes it a bit difficult/slippery

I'm down for a ride some time soon. I'm going to demo on Saturday with a couple friends, and would be down to rip the UCSC trails some time. I also ride a Nomad.
