Maybe we could use my Outback's old all-weather cargo mat to prevent damage between the two?

Try Sawyer Camp Trail. It's all paved, not too hilly (not unless you go all the way to the top on the Millbrae end). Start at Crystal Springs, turn around by the bridge (where the San Andreas fault line marker is) then return. That's around 11 miles. I try to go there every weekday afternoon.

I would be down for rides, mtb road or whatever. Prefer mtb. Weekdays are good here and can host some Santa Cruz trailin'. Point Montara is another great ride near many of you...

Yeah, they are slow at some sections haha. It's a blast. You can ride anything down there, just go as you wish.

I ride a hard tail.

Yea Just the temptation builds up from others which leads to stupid moves.

I have a full suspension bike, but never done anything technical like that. Usually more of a downhill/single track kinda rider.

Bikes and suspension all comes down to rider, I ride downhill stuff on my HT but I would rather not. haha. Just have to think economically with school/car/snowboarding. You can find decent, cheap FS on CL. Depends on if you are looking for an XC or FR/DH.

If you have ridden before you will be fine, you can choose your lines. Maybe I underestimate it?

I want a full-suspension too, but they're so pricey that I can't quite afford one, which is why I'm stuck with my POS hardtail (trust me, it started out as a POS, Acera componentry)

So I'm stuck with my hardtail for now. At least I have Shimano Deore components now. Good enough for anything I throw at it.

As for trail preference, dat singletrack. There's some casual, scenic beachside singletrack around the coastline where California State Route 92 and California State Route 1 meet up.
