The Middle Ridge trail at Henry W Coe is worth trying out if like single track.
If anyone is interested...Aug 18 I'm going to MTB Saratoga Gap/Longridge up to Grizzly Flat and loop back to the parking lot.
Send me a message if you're interested.

Mark

^how longs the distance? and hows the difficulty on aerobics?

Im interested in SG, but worried about climbs and such.

If you dont mind someone who is some what slow and climbs and mediocre at downhill, and if it isn't too bad, id be down.

I'm probably going to start riding again. Used to to Skeggs 3x a week - it's hard core if you plan on doing 15-20 miles in there mostly because you always have to climb back out, but some seriously awesome riding and a crashed DC-6 in there as well (just remnants at this point). Water-Dog in Belmont is really fun too and pretty easy to get to.

My personal favorite ride hands-down is to go out Higgins Canyon Rd from HWY 1 just south of HMB all the way to the Purisima parking area, and ride up the fire road to Skyline. It's sort of boring but a nice, evenly paced workout if you have gears (I usually ride single-speed hardtail/hard fork). You then get on Skyline and head North for around 2 miles to the Purisima trail parking area, and just head down the trail. Some of the OMFG most super fun single-track with ocean views, forest runs, etc. So awesome and then you can hit up Cameron's when you are done. If you are in shape you can do the ride up/down in a little over an hour - two if not. It's wicked fun. Most guide books will tell you to ride it the reverse of what I said, but that will have you climbing the fun part and going down the boring part.

Other than that, for a really nice, chill ride like people are asking for - just park in the parking area by the harbor in HMB across from Flavor, and ride south on the trail. Once you get into HMB you can ride east down one of the roads (have to look it up) and pick up another trail off HWY 1 that leads almost all the way to Cameron's. I used to live by the airport there and it was around I think 6 miles from there to Cameron's so it would be a really nice ride round trip. Easy ride, and really super nice as some of it is right near the water.

Mostly I have been riding up El Camino 12 miles each way to work which is a great workout and is pretty fun but I keep having this feeling that I am going to get run down.

You guys should come up to Auburn some weekend. Here's a video from the demo day that Specialized runs there:

Distance ~12 to 15 miles. Aerobics is about moderate.
Im interested in SG, but worried about climbs and such.
If you need to rest between climbs we can.

If you dont mind someone who is some what slow and climbs and mediocre at downhill, and if it isn't too bad, id be down.
I'm planning on arriving around 8am at the parking lot intersection hwy 9 and Skyline blvd. on the trial by 8:30.

New to the forums. Just jointed the Subaru family last week. You can find me some morning pre-6:15am at ST Park in South San Jose. Driving either a Cayenne Red 2004 Forester XT or my wife's gunmetal '06 4Runner. But more importantly, I'll be riding this:

Or this:

Welcome and nice rides.
You should go check out Forester.org. Quite a few Bay Area people there.
