googled STi forums, found nasioc/iwsti, but didnt like that the bay area sub forums were dead, went to norcal subies, but they were also kinda dead, than someone on nasioc said that most norcal people were on i-club, so i googled joined and now here
I used to use Nasioc for information on WRX's, I found that on the web. Then I found "the light" when someone mentioned i-club on there and I went here and found a better community with less insane admins.
Some one at Vishnu told me about it back in 02 when I bought my first wrx. Haha..vishnu.
I used the screen name black dog or something like thst and mostly lurked around for the how to's.
Since this is my third wrx I figured I'd rejoin and stick around!

i was the first 04 wrx shiv from vishnu tuned in 2003, back when he did good work lol
I lived in the UK in '98-'00 and actually caught some WRC and was blown away by the Imprezas. I saw some WRXs and a 22B (OMG) at a meet. My company car was a Ford Mondeo but I talked the office manager into getting me a '00 Impreza Turbo wagon which totally got me hooked. When I was ready to come back to the US, I was dead set on buying a new WRX, and then I found I couldn't and was sort of irritated with Suby, and bought another car. I used to auto-x at the Oakland Coliseum and saw this silver "WRX" there and went to talk to the owner - turns out it was a 2.5RS coupe with the big WRX sticker on the trunk lid. The owner was Alex, and the rest is history.

My cousin was showing me some stuff on the forums back in 2008 and told me, when I get my STi this is the place to be.
I did not listen to him on my 2009 STi, but this time when I got my 2011 I decided to see what this was all about

Like other people, I googled for subaru forums back in 08 when I started looking at buying a wrx. I found nasioc, iwsti, 3grx, and i-club. Lurked for a bit and then finally signed up just before I bought my 09.

Hey Max Xevious,
Well the domain name change is complete. i-Club.com is now officially changed to NASIOC.com. The transition of the new domain name went very well and everyone should have no problems visiting us at our new home.
http://www.nasioc.com/
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all back to the site and answer a few questions I have received over the last few days regarding the change. Of these the most asked were as follows:
1) Do I need to register for the forums to start posting again?
No, you do not. Your existing username and password will work just fine.
2) I forgot my password for the forums, how do I get it back?
You can use the following link to enter in the e-mail address we contacted you at to retrieve your password. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/memb...?action=lostpw
3) Why did the domain name have to change?
A conflict arose surrounding the use of the old domain and we thought it best to rename the site in order circumvent any problems and to move forward into the future of the site.
4) Is this still the same site I used to visit at i-Club.com?
Yes, rest assured it is. All of your posts, and the content of the site, are still there. The site has not changed from what you formerly knew as i-Club.com. In our looking ahead into the future, many more features and sections will be added to the site to make it even harder to stay away from! Right now we are in the initial stages of starting up a NASIOC Newsletter that will have a broad selection of Subaru and car related articles.
5) What the heck does NASIOC mean?
North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club. This has always been the official name of the site. (i-Club was just a nickname)
6) How do you say NASIOC?
Phonetically it's pronounced 'nah-zee-awk'
7) NASIOC.com is too hard to remember can I access it any other way?
Yes! Due to the kindness of a few members we have a few other domain names you can use to access the site. The easiest one to remember so far is http://www.impreza-club.com
If you haven't visited in a while please come by and check us out again. There will be even more reasons to come back soon enough… stay tuned to http://www.nasioc.com/ for the revolution.
