Thanks for letting me know! Who knows, I may make the trip to have them installed over there. I hear eq tuning is a very reputable place. Sucks that there is no actual place near where I live

And mainly I was saying what "people" say. I have no issue with a properly engineered intake.

Cobb is usually solid.
What about the SPT and ARC set ups?
I've always liked the SPT set ups in not being over complicated and they seem very tunable. At least for my platform.
Plus they're warranty supported. LOL!

Interesting. Good to hear that AEM is adjusting to our market. I was a huge fan of there's in the honda world. But they got slammed in the early days of subaru's because they didn't do the research needed.

I don't have much experience with the ARC setups, but they generally make good stuff.
Thanks

I'm actually not a big fan of the SPT intakes. They tune fine in terms of MAF scaling, but they heat soak like crazy and take a very long time to cool back down. The filters also like to work themselves off the intake pipe during aggressive driving which is no good. I actually lost one of my 2.0l motors once because the filter fell off on my SPT during a rally event. At the time I figured I left the clamp too loose, but then I tested it later and no matter how tight you make the clamp, you can still pull the filter off with one hand. They really need to add a barb to the end of the pipe to keep this from happening.

I've had my SPT intake on my car for seriously 150,000 miles and never had a filter slip off. And I run the heat guard deal which helps but it's still under the hood so any non boxed intake will heat soak eventually. It was mainly the MAF scaling I had in mind. I've seen that they tune well in that regard.
Still tripping on the filter deal. I've never even had to adjust one in between replacements. And I drive on a gnarly road every day. Huge pot holes. My suspension is worked right now... and I rally it pretty much daily. My whole car is covered in mud right now. When it rains I usually go straight out of my drive way. Smash over a grassy hill and then smash through the muddy fields.
And I just did a smash to LA and back in 3 days... 900 miles. Been in button willow and what not a bunch. Never had heat soak related issues there.
My motor is a freak though. 222k miles the way I drive is a miracle. LOL!

Sounds like you got lucky with it! I've found that some of the SPT's have more tendency to slip off than others and I think it has to do with the coating on the pipe. Go check it out some time and see if you can pull the filter off by hand when the clamp is tightened. If it stays put, you got one of the good ones

How long have you had the car? Have you driven the car hard, pushed it to the limits? Mountain runs, auto-x, or track days? I suggest doing an hpde with the car stock and learn the car first. See what you don't like and mod accordingly.

Lol well then, now I remember why I didnt want to go with SPT for anything on my car. Only reason I have the exhaust was because it came factory installed.

Everyone has their opinion, so you'll need to do your research on which parts to put on your car. I agree that Whiteline has quality parts, but they've also screwed some parts too. Good customer service, continuously updating their parts, and listening to their customers got those issues fixed, but they're not the end all of suspension.
Once you have a general direction where you want to take your suspension, I'd talk to some local shops, or give the guys at TurnInConcepts an email/call. I've got almost all of their bushings and braces that aren't pure track related on my car.

I have had it for a year now and I wouldnt say I have pushed it to its limits.. yes i did do a few spirited driving sessions here and there but not for long durations.

Before, version 1 of the center roll kit had problems of the boots tearing and the joint itself slipping out of the knuckle. They updated the design to fix those problems with version 2. The important part is customer service and improving your products, not denying the fact that there is anything wrong.
They have also had some product recalls in the past too.
