Here is the technique I used --
When you put it in the oil, make sure its warm/operating temp. Put in the amount required on the bottle, then romp on it for 15-20 min. IMMEDIATELY change oil and filter.

I just looked at my engine, aside from not having an intercooler (its N/A) I still can't find where the stinking pcv valve is. Am I going to need a Chilton's or Hay's manual to find it? This is my first Subie, for that matter, my first foreign car. I open the hood on my car and I feel like I'm looking at a space ship! Don't laugh, guys. I know where the oil goes! I just look for the little pictures!

I have personally seafoamed at least 15-20 cars now with no problems. I did my '95 coupe w/ 1.8L, '01 RS w/ 2.5L and '03 WRX with noticable gains on all of them. Probably will be doing my RS again soon as it's been a year and I only did it lightly the first time.
I recommend putting a zip-tie under the throttle stop to keep the revs up. For some reason this worked great on just about every car - keeps the idle perfect, and your hands free for getting the stuff in your engine.
Also for non MAF cars, Kostamojen is right - just pour it in the TB. For others just find the hose nearest the cylinders but still having even dispersion to all 4. I remember this was a hose on the front of the manifold (not the BPV) for the WRX. Not saying the BPV doesn't work, just that I used a different one.
