This stuff sounds worthwhile. Would you guys recommend this stuff for a newer car? I've only logged about 10k on my 2k5 WRX.

It's a good idea to run it thru once after break-in, and reset your ECU.

Now just to clarify, WHAT EXACTLY are you supposed to do with this ish???? Put some in the gas tank and some in the oil or what? I'm confused.

The directions on the can are a little unlcear. Basically you do this:

- Warm the engine to operating temperature, leave it running
- Find a way to let the engine ingest about 1/3 of the can. It will stumble and nearly die, so you need to have a way to keep the idle up and let it take in the full amount before dying. At the last little bit, let the engine die.
- Let the engine sit for about 5-10 minutes - this is when it's working
- Start up the car (might take a few tries or be a little harder)
- Smoke out the neighborhood. Drive until no smoke is coming out anymore

I use a zip-tie on the throttle stop to keep the idle up, not sure how you would do this on an STi. I used the vacuum hose on the front of the plenum on my WRX, again, not sure on an STi intake manifold. You need to find the best place where it will evenly distribute to all 4 cylinders, but be as close to the cylinders as possible. I measure the amount being sucked into the engine by pouring it into a clear plastic cup or something so I can see what I am working with. I 'meter' or throttle the amount that is sucked into the engine by bending the hose I am using. The engine is dying, allow less, running smooth, allow more. You need to find the point where it's pulling it in the fastest but not dying out. You don't want to just burn it thru the engine - it needs to soak in there.

Hope that helps. If it's totally confusing, find someone who knows how to do it and have them help you.

2005 Imrez 2.5 RS, put it through my brake booster line. I don't think that was a good idea, I think it only went to the right side bank of the engine. What should I do now? run it thru the pcv valve? I hate to ask this... But where is the pcv valve on this car?

Take off your intake and put some right in the throttle body, I just did my n/a 2.5 yesterday with the seafoam and its running better now.

Post How-to for turbo wrx

Ive done this a few times and I think it works. Use the hose off the bpv.

You will need to rig up a funnel and straw combo of somesort. Then you pour it into the hose Im holding.

Have somone idle the car ~ 2000-2500 rpms. Slowly pour it in, the car will want to die, but as long as its poured slowly and steadily it will keep running. Most subaru tuners say to pour the whole can in but the bottle says 1/3. I did 1/3 can twice in a row...lots of smoke and the car felt smoother.

You can also put it in the oil and gas.
