The officer has to have probably cause to pull you over and I highly doubt he's going to make extra effort to sit in front of your house and wait for you to leave.

Bottom line... if you have anything illegal on your car and the cop is a dick he can send you to the ref just because he doesn't know. At the ref they'll know what is and is not illegal.

So it really comes down to is the threat real or not?
Bouncing off this idea.. I know cops in our area are a bit **** when it comes down to stuff like this.. they wont send you to the ref but they will stop you and ask questions. You dont really need to change your intake to stock since you dont have it but it wouldnt hurt..

As for the down pipe.. Its not going to be a huge idea if you just put on a silencer but even those dont really "minimize" the note the Blitz gives haha.

Turbo and injectors... I highly doubt a cop knows what the difference is between stock and not..

P.S. I have to send your ECU in tomorrow since I was swamped with work earlier today.

That is BS.

I've heard of it happening. If it happened to me I'd ask the officer to word for word define what citation he was giving me.

1. The wing is 100% 50 state legal.
2. It has a brake light in it so you meet the 3 light requirement.
3. If they use 26708 or x2019 they're also full of crap. That's probably the one they'd use because it's got the most loop holes in it for them. But it's one you can beat. Easily.

The main thing they'll do is try to tag you with that one or the 3rd light. But even the 3rd light is b.s. because there is another code that says you don't need it as long as the left and right are both functioning. 24600

There are so many cars that have less visibility than an STI it's not even funny. Try driving a new camaro.

Crazy dark tinted windows and stupid dark tail light covers... it's cool on your retarded looking mustang but god forbid it's on a subaru or honda.
This is what drives me nuts. Cops need to find better things too do with they're time, instead of trying to screw hard working people who just like to make they're car a little different from the rest.
Damn shame sometimes.

i thought the same thing before i started riding a motorcycle. Anything that gets a drivers attention will help a rider, like bright lights, and a loud exhaust.

I tried this too, went from big wing to wrx wing but it didn't help, got pulled over both ways so I went back to the big boy wing, I like it way better anyways.

I'll be very surprised if that is now the case.

Since 1985, motorcycles have had to meet an 80dB noise emission - 2dB less than current car regs. The big difference is that there is no smog check for bikes, so people often swap pipes out for aftermarket - especially the Harley riders.

w.r.t. being profiled, the sport bike crowd whine about this just as much as the modded car crowd. There are days when the cops sit and pull over ALL motorcycles for a 'safety check'. The cops then write up exhausts, after-market turn signals, license plate holders etc.
