Got pulled over today...
Got pulled over today in walnut creek on my way home from work. My buddy called me while I was driving and I usually use my speaker phone because my bluetooth broke but I picked it up and put it to my ear while I passed a walnut creek pd parked on a side street. She pulled me over and gave me a cell phone ticket. Good thing she didn't check out my car since I'm catless. Oh well my bad could have been worse

Free headset for who ever gets a ticket for cell phone law.
Oh btw you can still get a ticket for using speaker phone. The law is that you can use the speaker phone function but you cant be holding your phone.

Q: What is the difference between the two laws?
A: The first prohibits all drivers from using a handheld wireless telephone while operating a motor vehicle. (Vehicle Code (VC) §23123). Motorists 18 and over may use a hands-free device. A: NO. The violation is a reportable offense: however, DMV will not assign a violation point.
