My manager at work got her identity stolen, she contacted the cops and they managed to find out where the people lived based on them filling out CC applications online and such, but the cops still haven't done anything. Said they had better things to do then deal with identity theft or some bull**** like that.

Yeah, my sister's mother in law had her identity stolen, and the lady who did it bought a plane ticket, but the cops nor the airline company would stop the lady getting on the plane.

WHAT!?!?!?!?! If that is true, she should try contacting the police commissioner or the chief of police. She should also consider calling her local newspaper.

A couple of friends and I lost our wallets to two African-Americans pointing guns at us. This was back in 1999 at Pioneer Heights (Building 3 or 4) at UC Hayward. They only got roughly $30 total and a few CCs and our IDs. Some charges came up at USF book store.

Because he was curious as to how many people were honest Vs not and searched i-club instead of google.

Did you know that the correct spelling of "google" is actually "Googol"? For a bunch of smart snobs they sure can't spell worth a damn. ! :lol !

Well now that this thing is bumped up...

While I worked at at movie theater I we would find all kinds of wallets, purses, cell phones, backpacks, and even clothes.

The clothes were always a lost cause, people would usually come back for their wallets/purses.

but the Cell phones... oh man... When ever we found a cell phone we would usually go through the contacts looking for a "mom" "dad" or "if found" number and try to reach the owner and we would answer it if it rang... It always sucked dealing with Cell phones, Usually the owner would call from a friend's phone, I would answer and they would just be yelling at me, even though I told them that I was the manager at the movie theater that the lost the phone at.

about 90% of stuff found was returned...

Had one wallet I lost in a car that got stolen, didn't get it back and had to cancel damn near every card. Dropped my backup wallet with only an ID, Kaiser Card, and business cards. Someone found it and mailed it to me.

SO, I would definitely have to 'pay it forward' and return someones stuff, intact & without requesting a reward.
