Someone jacked my keys and wallet what to do?
Been driving the passat as the sti is under maint.
Had a huge car load of stuff including dinner yest. Well I guess I left the car unlocked. I can't find my wallet or keys. I believe someone did steal them, as I know they were there, and the glovebox in the car has been jammed shut for 2 years. Someone had forced it open and there was busted plastic.
The keys were to my place in Marina, but I also had a key to my parents (happened in their driveway).
Now I'm worried someone might come back if they have the house key.

When I got mugged they got my keys phone wallet well everything I had in my purse. They eventually came back to steal my car and rob me but I changed ignition lock and house lock that night before I went bed. They ended up changing my address my bday and a whole bunch of other stuff. It was a major nightmare for me to go through. Hell they bought a house and a BMW in my name and attached my name to several accounts and drained other peoples money. In the end cops found 6 people using my id.
Long story short change whatever locks you can, make a police report and cancel any and all things you carried in your wallet. Best wishes and hope they don't go to far in your case.

Yeah I know mine was worst case and it all happened fast. Mine got into the hands of a bunch of meth heads. Not saying that will happen to him but if you think its stolen cancel stuff quick.
Also when mine happened there wasn't really anything to protect your rights back then. They have ways to help id victims these days.

First thing to do is put a lock on your credit. Contact all three credit bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian) and and lock your **** down. You might want to keep the lock there for at least a year or maybe forever. It's 20 bucks per company to request a lock but it's worth it. No one can access your credit until you unlock your accounts.

GO get your lock cylinders changed in your car, your house, and the ignition.
A buddy of mine had his keys stolen and they went into his car and took his registration and his garage door opener, but didnt take the car right then. On the registration had his address. The thugs went to his house about 2 days later, cracked the garage open and took his car just like that. We are pretty sure they rolled the car down his driveway before starting it.
He found it 3 days later near the presidio no rims, half his engine missing, seats gone, stereo gone.
If he would have just changed the cyclinders out they never would have been able to grab it, granted thats a pretty rare scenario, but it happens.

Definitely change the locks on the house and the car. I had keys to my old car stolen, so I changed the locks on the doors and trunk (didn't bother with the ignition). It was a PITA but I definitely slept better after that.
