tis ok.. what got me the most was the fact my father was dead and the companies came back to me for the money they were lost on from his id theft.. I just was in shock and said hes dead.. they respond yeah we know so you can pay the bill.. I told them i am not even paying the bills for my id theft i didnt think it was fair that i had to pay for it to get it removed off my credit. Even my cell company turned off my phone but later turned it on for them and they charged a couple grand to it. It was a major big mess and still dealing with part of it cus at the time of my id theft there was NO laws to protect the people with id theft.

is it really like this in the real world? cops and banks can't do anything to help you out? and you will have to pay those crap out of your own pocket? its ridiculous i think...sad to say that sometime we just don't have a choice

From my credit reports they got my b-day change and the year i was born and they bought a bmw and a house. I asked the cops where is this stuff so i can take it back they just laughed at me.
OMG, what a horror story! I would have done everything in my power to find out who did it (hire a PI, etc), then I would have rammed a red hot bayonet spike into their asses, in and out, in and out...

I'm soooo sorry this happened to you! In Oregon eh?

I found a wallet in Bidwell Park in Chico as I was riding my bike. The contents were strewn all over the place. I picked everything up and dropped it off at the police station on my way home and left my info.

Two hours later, got a call from the owner asking if he could drop off a couple of twelve packs. Even though I declined, he insisted. Turns out he was a fellow cyclist supported the Chico State Mountain Bike team which I was a part of. Some greedy a-hole stole his wallet while he was at a swimming hole in the park.

I need to live off the grid. Because peple = $#!+

I blame our culture and the credit companies for why ID theft is the way it is.

I went to jet skii in Santa Cruz one day, and I guess I lost my wallet somewhere on the launching area, ground, not sure. I called the lifeguard/office/police w/e to see if anyone turned it in, Said nope. A couple of days later, it came in the mail with all my cards still in it, but of course no money. I was happy though, good thing I didn't have much

mine had been on the roof of the car and fallen off as well. the next day someone brought it back with everything intact, including the 500 bux inside. I gave him 100 to thank him, which he refused. Unfortunately i dont think the same thing would happen in my neighborhood anymore
